Professor Burke Kale's Epimethus

Professor Kale began working on the Epimetheus shortly after the retrofit of the Prometheus was finished. Dissatisfied of his patchwork 'Mech, the brilliant scientist and his handpicked research team began designing a new 'Mech, incorporating the modular Clan systems into a basic Inner Sphere design.

When Kale fled the Dark Mirage facility on Hyde, he took the half finished Epimetheus prototype and sufficient material to complete the Battlemech at his new base on Solaris VII. Final assembly took several months in the converted pumping station that served as his stable.

Because of the material and expertise required to build this 'Mech, the Epimetheus will probably never see production, despite the fact that all the design work and testing has been done. The only logical site for such an effort would be an Inner Sphere factory that has been converted by the Clans for their own use, and they are unlikely willing to surrender one for a joint manufacturing effort.

Capabilities
The Epimetheus is a sound but untested design incorporating the best of Inner Sphere and Clan technology and the DNI control system, creating a machine that is faster, more powerful, and easier to pilot and control than any known'Mech.
