"The original design for the Cestus called for two PPCs and medium pulse lasers, but problems with overheating prompted the design team to use a gauss rifle as the centerpiece of the Cestus's weapon array. Accordingly, the designers dropped both PPCs and installed standard medium lasers instead of pulse versions."
[Editor's Notes: Based on the CTS-6Z, which already had the PPCs, but lacked pulse lasers. Removed the 2 LL and 2 ML, added 6 MPLs.]

[Editor's Notes: On page 202, Cassandra Allard-Liao jumps her Cestus up a hill. Since she is a House Lord's daughter, she could easily request, demand, or afford a modified mech or (in this case) a specially-ordered one-of-a-kind mech. I removed the third ton of Gauss Rifle ammo and added Endo Steel, placing the jets in the already unoccupied legs. I used HildCo 12 jets because they power the 65-ton Axman, and they're produced in the St.Ives Compact, like the Allard-Liaos themselves. Works perfectly!]
