Another form of Magick



Through the sphere of Paradigma Hollowers have been able to engage the Fey magicks of glamour and through experimentation have come to this conclusion. While the Spheres function with Quintessence, also known as desire or premanifest energy, the Arts and Realms function on Glamour, which they've deducted as meaning or postmanifest energy. Thus in order to work Glamour magick one has to work on an entirely alternate paradigm for fueling their crafts. Many Hollowers believe that this is perhaps why Changelings and Mages used to work so closely together in the past since Changelings would help to complete the magickal cycle. They've also deducted that this is the reason for why Glamour magick is such a chancy affair. However the pioneering Hollowers have done some extensive research into the field of Glamour magick and have broken down the wide range of its potential uses into a multitude of what they call Crafts. Unlike the Changeling Arts and Realms the Crafts of the Hollowers are engineered to be more versatile and easier to use thus to help aid in a more reliable form of Glamour Magick. They still run on the basis of it being a form of Conjunctual magick however now the crafts can be mixed with more then just another area of Glamour Magick and there isn't much in the way of restrictions. The only real difficulty the Hollowers have faced was developing a way to generate what Changelings call Bunks. Most Hollowers fall back on their innate artistic skills and sometimes fuel enough glamour magick into their own art to produce even more glamour. However they've had to close ranks on the more banal types then ever before to keep their experimentations as productive as possible. However its payed off and its not like any of the Hollowers really cared to have the banal types around anyhow. Some theorize that they might have just stumbled upon a system of magick that has been long overlooked and since they've worked with both Glamour magick and Quintessential they've also been able to deduct that what some mages consider Quintessential magick is actually a form of Glamour Magick however the paradigms until recently had not been expanded into this realm of magick until now. It should be noted that not all the concepts for this form of Glamour magick was deducted from Changelings. The Hollow Ones in question reported that the Oneira were a far better source for information then the flighty Changelings and they've stated that the Changelings are suffering for becoming trapped in their idealistic dream world of Arcadia rather then living in transition like their Oneiran relatives. Now to the theoretical Crafts the pioneering Hollowers have been able to experiment with, a list of said Crafts follows below but keep in mind that some of these abilities require intense amounts of glamour in which to pull off and others are recommended to be done only in the dreaming and outside the hard Cast of a confined dream world such as the delusional reality of the Earth realm.





The Crafts




Props: additional stand alone aspects of the dreaming that exist by themselves. Consists mainly of chimerical tools, weapons and familiars.

Mindmelding: the ability to project ones mind into the essence of objects and beings. Used mostly for communication among beings to gain the essence of anothers desires and point of view.

Focus: this ability is used to gain information usually when its hard to perceive something in particular. It allows one to manipulate said subject indirectly by making it more real in how one chooses to perceive it, or less real of course.

Character: the particular traits of a seeming. Often this involves the abilities of a seeming within any cast of reality.

Cast: the laws of the reality a seeming exists in. Consists of the limts and freedoms a seeming generally has to exist within.

Calling: the ability that allows one to summon other beings, etc.

Act: since existence is transitory it sometimes helps to be able to function appropriately under certain situational events. Consists mainly of how well an actor a seeming is.

Sequence: the transience of existence. This is basically the realm of cycles. Consists of how well timed a seeming is in sequence with the events around them, synchronicity. Used for conjunctual effects as well.

Improvision: often a seeming has to add its own touch to existence. This realm consists of being able to express something they alone bring to the party of existence.

Shift: often the placement of a seeming in existence needs to adjust its position. This consists of the general ability to manipulate ones placement. This can also be considered similar to the spheres Correspondence and Time.

Mimickry: this ability allows one to copy the particular way in which another craft is manipulated provided that one knows the particular craft as well.

Histories: this craft allows a character to familiarize themselves with their reality and also allows them to differentiate from it when necessary.

Pattern: this craft involves the creation and destruction of form. This is the raw primal ability of the Oneira.

Morph: this ability involves the changing of forms of ones self from one to another. This is used at times in battle to call upon ones ancestral spirits or other powerful chimerical beings which even if useful for only a brief time can allow one to utilize their abilities for grander effects. Also used to produce chimerical armor in general as well as weapons. More powerful beings use this method to cloak their true forms so their true power is masked behind a weaker form or appearance.
