The cosmic game of making a deal

So not everybody is cut out for this bit of work, does that make it necessarily evil. Whose to know if we continually attempt to blind ourselves to what these barrabi dreamspeakers do. Not all beings like to reincarnate. Some of them see it as a waste of time and when they can get the living to do their bidding for some small token of their esteem why bother going through the rebirth process. The only thing is, not all of these spiritual beings are nice. Whose to say what the average is but I tell you there are a lot of would be mages more then happy to sell their souls at the chance to wield some real power. Yet how does this amazing process work. Well let me explain and then you can be the judge. There is the ritual of possession. Here we have a spiritual being usually of a great deal of power otherwise they are likely to be bound by the mage into servitude for being dumb enough to mess with someone stronger cause yes the living can be many times stronger then those dreaming. Usually its because of a sense of focus but you'll learn that later. To the point, usually a higher power of sorts contacts a mage who can be coerced into acting for them and at the same time actually achieve what it is the spirit wants them to. Again not all such spiritual mediums are bad. Some convey messages and some commit unspeakable rituals in the material world to increase the collective power of the spirit in question. Of course some may have the collective benefit of all humanity at heart, uhhh but whose to say. The real problem with Infernalist is that most are not that powerful and they only really gain true power by selling to the highest bidder or perhaps to a legion of them. The soul possession thing can be pretty bad considering making a contract with such a being of higher stature can be unspeakably dangerous. Yet it typically works on the basis that the mage in question allows the spirit to work through themselves. This can be quite saddening to a more conservative mage to watch a young upstart suddenly have enough power and knowledge to wipe out an entire coven especially to know that the allegience made for such an ability is likely to be resonant in nature thus what the infernalist must do in return can only make one shiver. Yet this is only a mild review of the lifestyle of an infernalist. Some do get to become considerably powerful mages in their own right as they learn from those that they channel however such is a dangerous path no matter what spiritual entity it is that you would walk with. Some spirits may not even be considerate at all to that of the medium and thus what one asks here is perhaps what is known as the permanent trade off. Ones physical life and perhaps even more depending on the nature of such a binding. Considering the most powerful infernalist are those who bind lesser demons etc. and not becoming bound to them, or so they think, I would suggest staying as far away from this field of magick as one could. But go ahead, let Jesus Christ into your hearts and souls..........
