The Placement of Illusions
The unconscious self
Is a creature few understand.
It is our shadow that makes
The light we see more real.
It is the part of ourselves
That is always conscious of our fate.
It is the one we continue
To ask divinations from.
But what is this unknown
Aspect of our being?
This foundation of our existence
That we are unconscious of
Yet it has a complete awareness
Of us.
It haunts our dreams,
It foreshadows our fate,
And if we ask it kindly
It can tell us who we really are.
Yet if we don't ask
It indirectly plays with the light
In which we live.
So that the answers lay before us.
And if we look closely
We can see that it was our own doing
Our awakened self
That wraps the gift of experience,
That continually prods us
To take control and to accept our destiny.
To realize
That we are responsible
For the creation, transition,
And reconstruction
Of our entire realm of experience.
