Someone was having a poll about what age of a character to use in a lycanthropic transformation story. This is a comment that someone else posted regarding the option for a teenage lead character.Er, rather not lust after underage girls, even if they're virtual. That's just weird. I know some people don't picture sexual connotations to transformation, but I do. Given that the vast majority of the responses are for females, I'd say that seems to be the case with those that take this poll, too. My Reply: Regarding the comment on not lusting after 'underage' girls. How is underage defined, and by whom? What about underage guys who lust after girls of the same age(who would also be underage)? What about six year olds who have crushes on other six year olds? I agree that for me, transformation is a sexual thing, but lets face it, all human beings(practically speaking) are sexual. We all have gender. The teenage years are when sexuality becomes a more active feature in human life, so fantasies about sexual things often focus on that time of life. Every woman was once an underage girl, and went through some phase of transition from being a child into being an adult. The becoming a werewolf or other shapshifter can be metaphor and symbolism of becoming sexually aware and learning and understanding that you are a sexual being. The teen age years is the prime time to set such a story, despite underage rules. Modern life requires more education and thus a longer childhood period than our biology gives us. Despite the american custom of becoming an adult at 18, we become sexual long before then. |
