Kesac 1: An Unusual Trip
20 years. It had been a long time since Kesac had left his home. But his armor
was rusting and his weapons were in dire need of repair. Therefore, Kesac left
east to Jidoor.

Kesac was struck with suprise when he entered Jidoor. The buildings were burnt,
and rubble was everywhere. The once proud buildings were covered with soot.
"What could do this much damage", Kesac thought, "short of magic? I thought,
from what the travelers that came by told me, that magic had disappeared. But
how could this happen? Magic could not revive itself. Or could it?" Kesac
headed sternly to the weapons shop.

The door squeaked open as Kesac entered. The store was charred and looted. The
once sturdy racks were reduced to charcoal. The shopkeeper looked at Kesac kind
of odd....
"What happened here?"
"The Empire.....bombs....."
"What do you mean, the Empire?"
"Sascha....and Afkek....."
"Explain more please. Who are Sascha and Afkek?"

Thirty minutes later, Kesac leaves the store with some knowledge of events in
Jidoor. Kesac was stunned. "Who could be so cruel....bombing a town? And why?"
Kesac walks around the town, thinking. "I need to do something about this, but
what? If I decide to fight against the Empire, I will probably be killed. If I
decide to work with them, I would be helping evil triumph. Assuming that what
that shopkeeper told me was true. If I decide to remain neutral, I would be
letting evil win over good."
Just then, an Imperial soldier walks up to Kesac.
"Halt!"
"Who're you? I have never seen you in Jidoor before. Are you working with the
Returners?"
"Who are the Returners?"
"Don't bother. They are an evil organization opposed to the Empire. In fact,
kill any Returners you come upon. Sascha would like that."
The soldier walks away.
"Hmm....I need to find out who this 'Sascha' and do something about this atrocity!
Whichever side that did this, prepare to meet Kesac."
