Kesac 3: Into the Fray

Kesac followed the Zozarian Bandits to their ship. The ship looked
in fair shape, and the sails were a little tattered. Kesac followed
the Bandits on board...

"OK, where are we going?" The leader of the bandits put his dagger
down on the table. "How about Narshe? I heard that this big metal
man was walking toward Narshe. And all of Narshe's money..."
"That's right! We will head for...Narshe."
The ship took off...heading for Narshe.

Three days later...
"We have arrived at Narshe." The Bandits were having a meeting.
"OK...what are we going to do."
"Die."
Kesac stepped out from behind the boxes. "GET HIM!"
A fight began. There were six bandits, all attacking Kesac. Kesac
flash struck the bandits, wounding them. "Retreat! He is too
strong to take!" The bandits ran away, dripping blood.
Kesac stepped out from the ship, and into Narshe...

Narshe, town of mines. Also a town of suspicion. Kesac walked into
Narshe, and saw general panic. "What's the problem?" "There
is a rumor that the Empire is up to something. Airships were spotted
flying towards Narshe. Wouldn't the elementals be cloaking them if
they were coming in for an attack? Could it be something bigger?"
Kesac shrugged. "I don't know." Just then, something in his mind
hit him.

21 years ago...
Kesac was training when an old man came up to him, saying...
"Beware the Giant...It will assail your future." The old man
vanished without a trace...
"What?" Kesac was confounded. What was this Giant? He
decided to ask his father.
"Giant? The Giant of Bab-il? Yes, I have heard of it. But
I hate to...there is a legend that the Giant of Bab-il will
destroy our family if it is not destroyed or disabled in
the next twenty-two years. But hopefully it is just a
legend...shall we talk some more?"
"The Giant was a legend in a different world. The
esper-magicians in the War of the Magi were trying to bring
the Giant here. Luckilly, they did not succeed. But with
these rumors of espers being found again...it could happen
again..."
"Legends are sometimes not true...hopefully this one is not.
I cannot guess what will happen if the Giant awakes again..."

"I don't know, but I think that the Empire is up to something.
I better prepare just in case."
Kesac goes off to prepare...
