Kesac 16: Into The Flame
Locale: Just west of Tzen -> Phoenix Cave Mtn.

A shrill wind buffeted over Kesac and Ryan as the got off the ship
in a cove near Tzen. "Tzen's not far to the east...however, if we
follow the ocean line to the north we will reach my home..." Kesac
nodded to Ryan. "North it is then..."

(Ryan's Home)
Kesac nodded to Ryan as he left his home. "Where are you heading
now?" "North...there's an odd glow from that mountaintop to the
north...maybe I should check it out." "I may see you later, if
fate has it that way..." Kesac merely nodded. "Fate is a strange
thing...we may meet up again."
Kesac walked toward the north, toward the star-shaped mountain range...
little did he know he was not alone...

"Ugh, this mountain is tall." Kesac dragged himself up to a ledge on
one on the mountains surrounding the Phoenix Cave. A small rattling
came from the mountains above. "What's that?" Kesac looked up the
mountain. "Avalanche!!" A stream of rocks was coming down the mountain,
straight at Kesac. "No!" Kesac dived toward an overhang nearby to
shield him from the avalanche. As he dived against the mountain wall
under the overhang, the rocks started to tumble. "A hidden cave?"
Kesac pushed the rest of the rocks out of the way and dived into the
cave just as the avalanche covered the entrance. As the rocks settled,
Kesac thought he heard laughter, almost inhuman laughter...
"Can't head out this way now..." Kesac looked into the cave. "It looks
like it leads deep into the mountain...only one way I can go now..."
Kesac gathered up his belongings and trudged downward into the cave...
