Glowing balls hover near the ceiling and provide soft but bright
light for this windowless room. As might be expected, oak bookcases
fill two of the walls, while a large, sturdy oak table and racks of
reagents occupy a third. An ornate rolltop desk is pushed against the
north wall, along with several overstuffed filing cabinets. Hung on
the wall above the desk are a curious engraving, a certificate, and
a mask. Behind the table are hung a rack of glassware, and a wax
seal. A circular iron staircase in the northwest corner provides the
only entrance.
There are two obvious exits: up, down.
