DEEP SPACE NINE

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is the third member of the Star Trek series. It features the crew of a space station at the far edge of known space. This former Cardassian station orbits the planet Bajor, but what receives more attention is the rare phenomenon that lies near it--the first stable wormhole ever. This wormhole allows the Federation to explore the far reaches of space without travelling long distances to get there. However, this wormhole also brings threats back to the Federation, such as the dangerous Jem Hadar warriors which brought about the invasion of Cardassia. In defense to these new potential threats, Captain Benjamin Sisko has ordered new armaments for the station as well as improvements on defense. This brought about a new component added to the station's defense resources: The Defiant. This specially designed Federation ship is armed with a cloaking device. It is the only ship in the Federation with this capability of becoming invisible and undetectable. With these new defenses and with the security of the Federation resting in their hands, the crew of Deep Space Nine faces the uncertainty of the future...
