Gairten is a very young and previously very naive elementalist. He has been fairly sheltered his entire life, but was eager to get out and explore the world. He used to have an obsession with fire, but the hardships he has faced in the Desert of Desolation have left their mark on him. Gairten was forced to give up his fire affinity for a time because of the its dangerous nature in this place. Gairten is somewhat of a poor social companion, although he makes up for it with his optimistic attitude and keen perception into what is really going on around him. Gairten has finally mastered the fire within him and is now trying to track down four named Horrors and get three more elemental gems along with the rest of the group.
