Part time Heroes

They came, they saw, they played a bit and hoped it would be enough to save the world. All the heroes mentioned below have played Deadlands more than once either with an existing posse or together from time to time...I just thought I owed them a mention.

Reverend Jacobs

Played by my very own brother, Duncan Lambert, who is half plant.

The good reverend has a slight problem, he's dead. Took him a while to realise this but has now decided to spread the word of the lord using his "gifts". He reckons he's some part of God's great plan (which explains why he's walking and talking instead of pushing up daisies) and helps the weak and needy as much as possible.

Interesting Fact - Apart from starting the game dead, his claim to fame is a whopping faith level of 8d12+4! Miracles include: Protection, Lay on Hands, Succor, Holy Roller, Smite, and Inspiration.

"Elisa"

Played by Emma, who outplays the lads by a huge margin

This mysterious Pinkerton detective has a horrible habit of not telling anybody a jot about anything, even keeping her real name secret from her fellows! She is definately more of a thinker than a fighter, but if a job has to get dirty she doesn't mind running about in her undergarments and shooting zombies through the head with her derringer.

Interesting Fact - Elisa is the only female to feature in the world of Deadlands as a posse member (in my experience anyway), she also has an inconvenient habit of fainting at gruesome sights...

Clint Eastwood

Played by James MacDonald, who likes guns, and always complains that "it's just not fair"

Clint Eastwood (oh deary, deary me) is a Texas Ranger who has had a love afair with his weaponry since he was able to walk, he relies on guns to get the job done - and if that doesn't work then he gets a BIGGER gun, if that don't work then he gets the hell out of Dodge. He has been with the Rangers for a long time and is a valuable part of their crew.

Interesting Fact - Clint insisted on starting the game with the following weapons; 2 Spencer carbines, 2 peacemakers, a .44 pitol, a scattergun, a winchester rifle, a high powered sniper rifle, a bowie knife and 2 throwing knives. Hmmmm

Carlos Humanez Gringo Gringo Sanchez

Played by James Thompson

Carlos is a fat mexican gun dealer who likes his whiskey and his women (as goat faced as they are), he found out about the Reckoning somehow and reckons there's money to be made supplying whoever with as many guns as they want, only to steal them later on and re-sell them to their enemies...what a cunning man! His only weakness is his love of Tequilla, he'd rather die than spill a drop.

Interesting Fact - Carlos is a very fat man, size 8, and so far has not found a suitable horse to carry his bulk

Peter Houston

Played by Adam "zany" Whitehouse

This Mad Scientist has found little fame so far in the Weird West an is something of a limp lettuce, he's from back east you see, and not from Houston at all, as his name suggests. He travels the West 1st class and refuses to get his hands dirty, his inventions aren't that spectacular (an automatic pistol) but then again the manitous haven't really got hold of his brain yet. But they will, oh yes....soon, very soon.......

Interesting Fact - None really, but Adam does have his own website and you can go there for more zany shenanigans by clicking here - it's called Adam's Homepage, or something, and features a blatantly nude lady for some reason....

"Burt" Consorts With Spirits

Played by Sam Scott, who still isn't sure what's "going on", not in Deadlands, the real world I mean!

Burt, as he's called by the white man who he lives woth now, used to be a Shaman with the Coyote Indians, but was expelled from their number after playing around with the women, he took this rather badly and now lives in Texas, fighting the evil of the Reckoning with his 2 tomahawks, which are very big indeed.

Interesting Fact - All of Burt's problems in life have been somehow solved using his Tomahawks. To rather a painful effect usually.

Dancing Squirrel

Played by Pandelis "Monkey Boy"

This Indian Shaman of the Sioux nations is something of a trouble maker, hating all white men with a vengeance after his brother died at Little Big Horn. His fellow posse members are fortunately exempt from his wrath as they have saved his hide from the gallows on several occasions

Interesting Fact - Pandelis is a Greek name. But he really does look like a monkey, though
