Spellfire Card of the Week

This is one of the best combat oriented magical items in the game. Being defensive in nature is almost always a positive thing, as well as a small +2 bonus. But the boots have a greater power which allows a champion to fly back to the pool if defeated in combat. This sets up many combinations for a variety of champions whose special powers come into play when defeated. Iuz the evil and Amarill are two examples. The best way to defend against the boots is to have a deck with a lot of flyers. Against a dragon deck the boots are of little value since most dragons are flyers.
