Food
Food, glorious food! Who can live without it?
If you're like me, then you get fed up of 'beans-on-toast' every day. Oh yes, everyone knows about beans on taost. Us students just can't seem to survive without it. We musn't forget the frozen oven chips and economy burgers either. . .
But, there is more to life than chips, burgers and beans on toast. It's something that is tastier, better for you, and cheaper:
...and if you get fed up of my recipes, try the UK Vegetarian Society recipes page!
But, unless you want to skip straight to the recipies, here's a little introduction -
I'm mostly vegetarian. Mostly? Well, for me, that means I eat vegetarian food most of the time. I also eat fish. Why? One, big word - fat. Yes, it's true all of us need to eat fat to stay healthy, but the amount of fat in today's modern fast lane diet is far too high. Well, enough of that, let's just say that all my recipes are low in fat (especially saturated fats), have no added sugar, are high in complex carbohydrates, are quick, easy and cheap. Okay, so you might notice that some of my recipies are meat-based. Okay, simple reason. not everyone out there is a vegetarian, and most of my meals are meat-based recipies. Hey, it's not hard to look at a dish with mince in it and say mince = soya, or beef = kidney beans. No need to splash out on expensive vegetarian cook books! So, stop reading all this yabber, look at my recipes and enjoy the meals!
