Volume 33
New Characters:
Mr. Satan-he is Earth's proclaimed "strongest" person. After Goku and the
others stopped going to the Budokai's, Mr. Satan took over as reigning champ.
Super Saiya-jin 2(wrong way) Trunks- this form does surpass a regular super
saiya-jin in power, but has a major drawback: his body becomes so big that
his speed is cut in half....
Plot:
We leave off of as Trunks was powering up. Perfect Cell, who was about to
kill Vegeta senses his power and is amazed that it is Trunks. Trunks gives
Kuririn his remaining Sensu Bean and tells him to give it to Vegeta. Kuririn
worries about Trunks, who is about to fight Cell, but he tells Kuririn that
he will win. Cell and Trunks begin to fight. Trunks lets Cell get a few
hits in in order to give Kuririn time to save Vegeta. Cell already knows
this but doesn't care, Vegeta is no longer a threat to him, his real
interest is in Trunk's real power. He tells Trunks to power up to the
fullest. After seeing this, Cell knows that he can beat Trunks for a
specific reason. Up on top of Korin Tower, Piccolo is amazed at Trunk's
power and tells Bulma and Tenshifen.
In the Room of Spirit and Time, Gohan has already learned to become the
legendary Super Saiya-jin and is training hard. He stops to rest and looks
at his father , Goku, who has been meditating for days, but is standing up.
Goku switches to Super Saiya-jin and then powers up to a form like Trunks.
Gohan runs over to his dad and knows this power must be greater than Cell's.
But being to gifted warrior he is, Goku knows the fatal flaw of this form
and tells Gohan: since his body is so big, his speed is cut in half and what
is the point of having great power if you can't hit your target?
Meanwhile, Trunks is learning this the hard way. None of his attacks can
even hit Cell. Cell tells him why and Trunks realizes why Vegeta didn't
power up to that form. Trunks reverts back to normal form, knowing he will
lose. Cell is very disappointed at Trunks and Vegeta, but is very puzzled
how they could increase their power levels in such a short time. He asks
Trunks that if they could do it again, could they increase their power
levels. Trunks thinks they can, so Cell devises a tournament very similar
to the Budokai that will happen in 10 days, if he wins, he will destroy the
Earth. 16 Gou also wants to fight so Kuririn offers to take him back to the
Capsule Corp to get him fixed.
With everyone gone, Cell makes the Budokai site and televises it on
television. Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks want to go back to the Room of Spirit
and Time. Vegeta thinks that this is a waste and says that only Saiya-jins
can go in. Piccolo tells him that that is impossible because the door to the
room will close if you stay there more than 48 hours. While they are all
talking, Goku and Gohan come out. Vegeta wonders why they came out so early,
they haven't even been there for a full day. Goku still senses Cell's ki and
wants to know what has happened. After being told, he thinks Cell's idea of
a tournament is very amusing. He teleports to Cell's location to see what
kind of power Cell has. They exchange words and Goku goes back. Even with
his increased power, he doesnt think he can beat Cell, but still he remains
very calm. Goku goes to Korin to show him his power. Even Korin thinks that
Cell would win. Still, it seems that Goku has some way of defeating Cell.
Goku and Gohan go home...
The king orders the army to attack Cell. They fire away, but of course it
has no effect. With one fireball, Cell destroys the entire army. Hearing
about the news, Goku wants to create new Dragonballs. He asks Piccolo if he
can split back to Kami and Piccolo, but unfortunately he can't. So Goku
teleports to the Namekian's new planet and manages to get Dende to be the
new god of Earth. Dende revives the Dragonballs in no time with additional
powers. You can now have 3 wishes and still be able to wish back more than
1 person too(unlike the Namekian Dragonballs). During this time, Kuririn
and Yamcha watch a news broadcast that says that a Mr. Satan will save them.
Everyone continues to train and the day finally arrives for Cell's
tournament. Goku meets up with everyone at the top of Korin Tower. Vegeta
has already left. Everyone is very quiet and Goku wonders why. Kuririn
explains that even with its new powers, the Dragonballs can't be used to do
the same wish twice, so no resurections twice. That means, most of the
people can't afford to die(besides Trunks and Gohan). Everyone takes off.
Mr. Satan arrives first and is very cocky. He has no idea of Cell's power.
Next comes Vegeta and 16 Gou. Finally, the rest of the gang arrives.
Mr. Satan fights first and gets his butt kicked. He explains that he tripped
and fell out of the arena( but to everyone else it looked like Cell threw
him into the mountains). Vegeta comments that Mr. Satan is truly the
champion of idiots.
