RPG Character Quiz
Stolen! From Cris

Years RPing: I'm just doing WW, since D&D doesn't really count as Roleplaying :P Six, started freshman year of High School. Thanks for the loss of a social life, Ghoulboy.

Least favorite character: Eep. My first Malkavian at the Stuy LARP. The 2nd Ed Clanbook wasn't exactly the best thing to teach me that silly Malkavians just aren't ok. His insanity had something to do with Post-It Notes. I look back and shudder.

Favorite 3:
First off, Rigel. Dear, dear Rigel Thane. My only remaining New Bremen character. He's me, if I wasn't a coward and could safely get tenure as "mostly homeless." Which makes him a Hollow One. A-duh. Strange history resulting in twisted Lores, an emotional hair trigger, and more intellectual randomness than... than... something really random.
Second another NB character, Sean Cowan. Homid, Galliard, Fianna. My first NB character, and whatever years later I still talk to some of the people I met in the first few weeks of playing him. There was some intense stuff going on with his packmates, packmates' friends and significant others, etc. Almost danced the Spiral at one point. The scenes leading up to the death of his blood brother and pack leader Dafwydd were some of the most intense I've ever played.
Third was tough. Lot of close ones here. Aaron the Redcap from Angel's Changeling game. Jan Zantosa, Tzimisce Revenant. Brandon St.John, Unseelie Sluagh. John Vain, BCD Void Engineer. Half of these I'm remembering as I think about the question. Michael Trask wins out, though. He was a Tzimisce on NB, and a veterinarian in life. He had a straaaaange time of things. He started completely lost, got picked up by the Cam and had to pretend to be Caitiff, was taught how to be a vamp by a Giovanni, took his first taste of human blood with an Autarkis Lasombra, and jumped ship for the Sabbat when he realized how hypocritical the Cam was. It's the kind of thing that could only happen in the silliest of crossover games (like NB), but it all made sense at the time. Mikey was just so... pure. He kept a 7 Humanity until the Sabbat, and then it dropped so fast that he wound up being taken for a Malk or a Gangrel depending on the day of the week. It was a lot of fun to play him.

Male or Female characters: Male. I don't even trust myself to run female NPCs, much less play a Female PC.

Oldest character: The longest run had to be either Trask or Cowan. If that's what the question means. My first character was a useless Silent Strider in a useless Werewolf game. Second Edition Werewolf. Ugh.

Oldest currently in play: Rigel. He's one of two characters I have in play right now, the other being an Abyssal Exalted who's, oh, a month or so old.

Newest: Said Abyssal. Pity of Death's Embrace, Midnight Caste, servant of The Bodhissatva Anointed By Dark Waters, and etc.

Most popular: People liked Aaron at first... then not so much. Jan was muy popular OOC, but I don't think as many people honestly liked him as do Rigel. Is that even an English sentence? Whatever, I'm going with Rigel.

Character never played: Too many. Making characters is sometimes more fun than playing them. And there's never enough games to go around. The most interesting I never got to use was a Hermetic Mage, Jeremy Whatley, who was heavy into Eastern Mysticism. Originally House Tytalus, tossed into Ex Miscellanea, convicted felon due to some lapses of judgment... but I never got to play him.

Which character of yours would be most likely to...:
Jump off a bridge: Rigel, since only he's got the right emotional problems.
Get drunk and pass out: Sean, until he got Resist Toxin ;) Now Rigel. I see a trend here.
Kill someone in an unorthodox manner: Brandon St. John. Trask might use Viss, but it would be in the name of efficiency. Brandon is in his element with this sort of thing.
Get married: Sean did. For those who didn't, John Vain was the closest. The fact that the Technocracy heartily approved him seducing a city council member was totally secondary.
Be too hyper: Trask, on one of his more manic days, early Sabbat.
Rape someone: Aaron tried. Poor Aaron. Jan could never manage to start one. Stupid 5 Socials.
Be raped: Rigel. He's too trusting. He tells people he's invincible, and sometimes he believes it.
Get lost and refuse to ask for directions: John Vain. Border Corps doesn't need directions.
Get lung cancer: Hm. None, really. It's a problem with my roleplaying, but even IC I can't manage the smoking thing. I suppose Rigel if I were being more realistic.
Star in a horror movie: Aaron tries too hard. Pity and Trask too nice about it. Sean was totally deranged at one point, before he killed Dafwydd. He would be perfect.
Star in a whore movie: Jan already has. Rigel prolly would under the right circumstances, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone showed up with a VHS he had drunkenly participated in.
Star in a video game: John Vain, first person shooter, ala Aliens.
Make the world a better place: John Vain, of course. Protecting the Masses one dead deviant at a time.
Have a torrid gay love affair: Jan. Definitely Jan. Living, female, human, any two out of three.

Character who best exemplifies each following word:
Love: Rigel. Freaky relationships, but so much love. Same for Sean really.
Hate: Aaron. Damn murdering bastardly Sidhe.
Family: Sean had a beautiful marriage. Till it went all badlike.
Money: Jan
Seduction: Jan again. It's all about the Zantosa, baby.
Lies: Hm. I see Vain constantly having to explain away why he did the things he did to his SO. That's a surprise.
Tragedy: Sean, definitely. He killed his bud, then was sad about it. All his friends went away.
Comedy: Rigel. So random.
Manipulation: Jan. He gets what he wants.
Violence: Aaron. Vain was better at it, but never so intense.
Politics: Pity of Death's Embrace. Diplomat, yo.
Fire: Mikey and Rigel. Both always passionate about things.
Ice: More difficult. Brandon when he gets going, I guess.

Would you ever play:
A prostitute: Rigel doesn't exactly get paid for sex. He just sees it as a good way to repay the kindness of those who take him in. And yes as a more general answer.
A musician: Sean was a busker, playing guitar on corners and in the park for money. Joined a real band at one point. Full of Spirals it was.
A pilot: Yup. Vain would have had basic training at some point, and its always a good concept in general.
A homosexual: Bi I could manage, homosexual I'm not so sure. Wouldn't trust me to play one correctly, as with the women.
A pedophile: I am one in real life, so what's the issue? :P Aaron only did it for a laugh, Jan was hardcore.
Politician: Haven't, but I could and would.
A character for the sole purpose of smut: That sickens me. All characters should be smut-capable, though.
A character involved in an incestuous relationship: Done and done. Jan had a sister, and well... hey, they're Zantosa, what'd you expect?
