A run down of all the buildings and places of interest in the town of Mud Creek. The other town featured in the adventure, Nacogdoches, has not been covered here as I don't have enough info on this town.
An absolute hovel of a place. Sheets are changed once a month, irrespective of how many cowpokes have slept in them. It costs 50 cents to stay here, but you'll probably be sharing a bed. The cheap price means that this hole is usually full. There are 12 rooms in total.
Occupants William Konrad Howell, propietor and stablemaster. He's an old fellow he doesn't like trouble, not that he's got the backbone to square off against trouble makers!
Secrets Jonah and Slo-Go end up staying here in the last two spaces available. Jonah kicks Slo-Go out of bed for snoring and he has to end up sleeping in the stables.
A small wooden building where guests of the flophouse can leave their horses. This service costs an extra $25. This is also where the dead Price gang are kept. Secrets The horses are rather perturbed by the presence of the dead and any mules housed here do not sleep well, consequently all Horse Ridin rolls suffer a -2 modifier until the mount next sleeps!
A small one storey whitewashed building where bad folk are kept. There are 3 cells which are usually empty. The sheriff usually doesn't bother arresting folk for petty crime as it saves on bills and paperwork...

Occupants Keith Williamson runs the joint, he keeps a shotgun under the bar and sides with his regulars over strangers if there's ever a dispute in his establishment. Lilly Langtry is also touring the area at the moment, she's a singer of sorts and very popular with the men.
Secrets This is where the posse will end up staying. It is on the other side of town to where Slo-Go is murdered.
Your basic run of the mill store that sells most everyday items and one or two firearms. Prices are good (75% normal prices) but the quality of most items leaves something to be desired.
Occupants Ma Smith owns and runs the store. She's a cantankerous old witch but cooks a mean fried chicken!
The prof and his camera are a common sight around town and he'll take a photo of anything if he thinks it'll sell. Current projects is: "Your daguerrotype with a bad man". Folks can have their photo taken with the dead "Traywicks" for a nickel. Last week it was the Price gang. Photo's are taken back to the office to be developped
Occupants Professor Argon is a top-hatted man with greasy features and a long, thin moustache. He has little in the way of morals and will exploit any situation if it means making a dime.
This building is the home of all the towns legal papers. Not that many legal things actually occur around town! Also serves as a town hall whenever there's a celebration, like a hanging.
Occupants Mayor Barnaby Grisham is the town representative and head of the council. He is a devious, underhand character and always wears an odd black and white chequered suit, claiming it's all the rage Back East.
