Sheriff Taylor

Background
Taylor was a normal guy who worked as a deputy in the small town of Birchwood, north Texas. That was until he happened to drink out of the local pond and swallowed a tiny Texas Tummy Twister. The thing grew inside him and slowly took over his body, but Taylor had a strong spirit and he tried desparately to force the thing out of his mind. Alas the effort was too much for him and he passed away, taking the creature with him. This wasn't to be the last of Deputy Taylor however, before anybody realised that he had died, the manitous had bought him back again as Harrowed. Alas Taylor had become a changed man as the manitou inside him had control of both him and the developped Tummy Twister "living" in his innards. The evil Taylor secretly bumped off the town county Sheriff and took his position as local lawman, a few months later he sacked all the other deputies and brought in his own "enforcers" who are actually walking dead summoned using his special Harrowed powers. Local people have begun to disappear recently and Sheriff Taylor has introduced "Travellers Taxes" to the town since he also became self appointed Mayor (the last one vanished) anybody passing through the town must pay a toll of $10, anybody refusing is thrown in jail. Nobody in town likes this much but truth is that they are just too afraid to say or do anything...

Appearance
A fairly tall man, about 6 foot, but his most obvious feature is his huge gut which easily hides any trace of the Tummy Twister lurking around there somewhere. He wears ordinary clothes, always has his Sheriff badge on and has deep sunken piggy eyes and a large moustache. People often get an odd feeling when they are around him, as if they are being watched.

Quote - (softly) "No money huh? You do know there's a "travellers tax" of ten dollars to pass through this town...guess you'd better come spend the night in a cell 'till you remember where you left yer money. Give me any trouble and I'll just have to go fetch my deputies, they ain't quite as kind as me...

Gear
Anything you'd expect a Sheriff/Mayor to have access to, but he usually carries a Shotgun and some 'Cuffs, his "Enforcers" always carry Spencer Carbines, he also wears a thick duster to cover his girth (Tummy Twister) when out and about

Notes...
Taylors new "enforcers" are actually his Unholy Host, they are treated as Veteran Walkin' Dead and carry out most of his dirty work. Taylors' "Dirty Work" consists of collecting souls for his Tummy Twister, which he believes must be fed via his Soul Sucker power...he is slightly deranged y'see. He usually preys on the souls of those kept in his jail, travellers who refuse to pay his "taxes".
In my campaign I used him only once, as a fearmonger in Birchwood. The Ex-Mayors wife hired the posse to investigate Sheriff Taylor because she suspected him of bumping off her husband (he did). Nobody else in town has the courage to say anything lest Taylor have them "disappear"
The Tummy Twister inside Taylor is actually the one who has the "Soul Sucker" ability but does not have control over Taylor. Some people have seen the thing inside Taylors waistcoat but daren't utter a word to him about it.
