Appearance: When inactive, the Acid Spawn appears as an average zombie, with slightly decaying flesh and an odor of rot. When the contingency of their creation has occurred, however, their true nature becomes apparent. Their flesh begins to take on the properties of one who was being melted by acid, and indeed theirs is. Acid begins to pour from every orifice on their bodies, slowly destroying themselves and anyone that they can inflict with their pain.
Combat: When the Acid Spawn engages in combat, the spell which created it takes on another effect. Acid begins to pour from their bodies, and they use this acid to attack their victims. They will strike with their fists, which will cause 1d6 points of damage per success. They will also attempt to use other parts of their bodies to inflict pain upon their victim, including kicking at them, jumping on them, and attempting to hug the prey. This hug is done my making two successful strikes with their fists in the same round. This causes an additional 1d6 hit points of acidic damage, as well as causing 2d6 damage each round until the hold is broken. The acid which resides in the Acid Spawn will also cause two points of damage each round to the Acid Spawn, who will fight until destroyed or overtaken by the effects of the acid. Like most undead, the Acid Spawn is immune to the effects of charm, hold, sleep, enfeeblement, polymorph, cold, electricity, insanity, poisons, paralysis, or death.
Habitat / Society: The Acid Spawn is created for a specific task. This is usually the guarding of a certain room or crypt. They are also sometimes sent on suicide missions to attack a certain person or thing. On such missions the Acid Spawn can be imbued with spells that hide their stench and rotting appearance, to better infiltrate their target.
Ecology: The Acid Spawn is not a being of this world, and thus, has no ecological niche.

This spell enables the caster to transform a corpse into an Acid Spawn. The soul of the corpse is rebound to the corpse, and the soul is able to feel all of the pain that the acid causes its body. This spell must be cast with the creature's purpose in mind, so that it can perform this action during animation. The material components of this spell include the corpse to be animated, a gallon of acid, and a magic jar spell, to bind the old soul.
