Appearance: Draagch appear as a horrid mixture of a giant spider and a lizard, although this is not the case. These creatures have a large reptilian body, surrounded by what seems to be eight large, double jointed legs. A draagch normally reaches a height of fifteen feet at the shoulders, with the first joint of its legs reaching a height about twenty feet in the air. A draagch’s body seems a little too small for its legs, which, if these legs were to be stretched out straight from its body, it would reach a height of nearly thirty feet! A draagchs head is narrow and long, with a pair of large oscillating eyes that allow it to be able to see in any direction without moving its head, at an infravision range of 100’. At the end of a draagchs head, where would normally reside a mouth, these creatures have large mandibles protruding from beneath their too stretched lips. These mandibles seem much too large for their heads, and between them can be seen the creatures true mouth, with rows of teeth tightly clenched so as not to allow its mouth and throat to dry out, as it cannot close its lips. Draagch bodies will reach in the range of twenty feet in length, with another ten feet applied to their prehensile tails.

Combat: These creatures attack with their mandibles, which cause 3d6 crushing damage, and with their front to feet, which end in long curved claws that it uses for climbing purposes, which each cause 2d6 damage. When A draagch makes a successful attack with its mandibles which exceeds its needed attack roll by more than three, it secrets a debilitating poison, type P. In addition to this, if the attack roll is exceeded by five, the creature has made a critical hit which should be rolled for as a large bludgeoning weapon. These creatures have a very tough hide which lends to their armor class, as well as giving them a remarkable ability to resist magic, which it will do 75% of the time. These creatures also will try to surprise victims by lashing its tail at them underneath its body, treated as a pull/trip maneuver.

Habitat / Society: Draagch live in remote caves in the Underdark, and are naturally solitary creatures. They sometimes hunt creatures for food when their natural area runs dry, but usually creatures seem to have knack for finding a draagch, as it does not try to hide itself from other predators, and no known creature actively hunts these creatures.

Ecology: Draagch typically live for three hundred years, and only seek out other draagch in order to mate with them. Draagch have no known language but seem to communicate with each other telepathically.
