Appearance:Filchers normally appear just as any human might, with all of the variances that exist there as well. The only telling difference is that if looked closely enough upon, one has a chance to notice that the skin of these creatures are unnaturally loose in some places, as though it did not quite fit their body. This is because in their natural state, Filchers appear as a skinless, man shaped creature, with muscles, blood, and veins showing all over their bodies. A hideous site to behold, anyone witnessing these creatures in their true form, especially when unclothing from their disguises, must make a horror check.

Combat: Filchers have developed an excruciating ability to suck a creatures insides out through the many orifices on their bodies, in order to keep the skin of the creatures intact. This method of attack is performed by succeeding an attack roll with both hands in one round. This serves to allow the creature to grasp the head of the victim, and then begin the process of 'skinning' the victim. The pain which this causes is intensely painful, causing the victim to behave as though 1d8 hit points per round were being taken from it. In actuality, this only does 1d2 points of real damage. When the victim believes that he has reached zero hit points, he passes out, but is not dead. This process takes some time, so the Filcher will only engage in it upon solitary beings. Otherwise, the Filcher will usually run from combat, but will fight when cornered, preferring to use its fists so that the skin of the victim is not harmed. They will use weapons if outnumbered, however. This creature is immune to all temperature-based attacks.

Habitat / Society:These creatures seek nothing more than to fit in with their human counterparts as if they were normal. This is why the Filcher kills, to take the skin of their victim for use as a disguise to hide their grotesque appearances. However, the skin that these creatures steal from their victims does not last forever, and thus the Filcher must kill again, in order to resume it's residence among humankind. Filchers travel with others of their kind when encountered, valuing safety in numbers.

Ecology: Filchers usually come about as a result to a powerful curse, one usually reserved for the very vain at heart. The Filcher requires no nourishment to survive, although many of them continue to eat foods, clinging to the life they once had. These creatures rarely acquire material possessions other than those things that they find attractive, such as jewelry, ornate weapons and crafts, and fanciful clothing. This is of course, the type of thing that brought about their curse, but the creatures cling to it nonetheless.
