Design Guidelines
Here's several general rules I followed -- some subconsciously -- when creating the GURPS characters in the gallery:
- To make customization easier, I added only as much background and description as I thought necessary to convey the character concept.
- No character has the advantage Common Sense or Intuition -- they can too easily be a player's crutch.
- Every character that is (or has been) an adventurer has survival skills at some level.
- For warriors with experience in their backgrounds, I like giving the Tactics skill for the +1 initiative bonus.
- Skill bonuses due to race, advantages, and so on are assumed in the point cost listed for each skill.
