In this page, we give all the Best Cheats that there are out for the Sega Game Gear.


Double Dragon

Unlimited ammunition:
Take any weapon from level 1 and fire it. Quickly collect it again when it drops after running out of ammunition. Fire it and collect it again when it drops to have unlimited ammunition for that weapon.


Dragon Crystal

Turbo mode:
Hold Start while moving.
Bonus room:
Power on the Game Gear and rapidly tap Start. Game play should begin in a room filled with food and weapons.


Ecco: The Tides Of Time

Cheat mode:
Press Start during game play to view the sonar screen. Press Left, 1, 2, 1, 2, Down, 2, Up to display a new menu with invincibility, unlimited continues and other options.


Fantasy Zone

Config Mode
For level select and more, press Up, Right, Down, Left, 1, 2, 1, 2, Start at the title screen. Extra Cash
In the first 30 seconds of level one, the hamburgers are worth 1,000 gold each! Shoot as many burgers as possible and head for a shop.
Invincibility
For invincibility, enter the Config Mode code, highlight "Mode" and press Left, 1 + 2.


Sonic 2

Level Select
When the Sega logo appears, hold Down-Left + 1 + 2 + Start. Continue holding these buttons until the inro screen appears and a chime sounds three times. Release everything and press Start to display the level select menu. Use Up and Down to select a level and press Button 2 to begin play.
Unlimited Lives
There are two 1-ups in Act 1 of the Sky Hill Zone. To get to the first one, pass the bridge, jump over the two sets of spikes, ignore the Ring Monitor and the spring. Finally, jump over one more set of spikes to grab the 1-up. Next, go back and jump on the spring, then walk into the horizontal spring, which will roll you through the bricks. You'll reach two more springs. Jump on the vertical spring, and you see another spring. Jump on this one, and hold left on the directional pad until you see a patch of ground with Christmas trees in the background. You'll then see another 1-up. Take it, let yourself die, and then repeat this process until you max out on lives.


X-Men

Unlimited flight:
Begin game play as Storm or Rogue. Enable Mutant Power and jump to begin flying. Hold Attack while in air and disable Mutant Power. This will allow your character to fly without reducing the Mutant Power level.


MegaMan

STRAGETY
Start with-Star Man- Get Crash Weapon. Use Mega Buster on him.
Bright Man- Get Bright Weapon. Use Crash Weapon on him.
Napalm Man- Get Bomb Weapon. Use Bright Weapon on him.
Stone Man- Get Stone Weapon. Use Bomb Weapon on him.
Wave Man- Get Wave Weapon. Use Mega Buster on him.
Toad Man- Get Rain Weapon. Use Wave Weapon on him.
Dr. Wily- Use Rain Weapon, Stone Weapon, then Mega Buster on him.
-E- TANKS
Bright Man- After 1st wall that you have to slide through, go down the ladder. To get back, keep on using Rush Coil to get to platforms.
Napalm Man- After an up ladder, there is a wall to the left. You can jump through it.
Stone Man- At the three flying platforms. Jump to it.
Dr. Wily- Take the right most path in the deadly beam fall.
-M-TANKS
Stone Man- There is a stone wall that you can shoot to get an opening to it.
-1-UPS
Bright Man- next to E-Tank.
Stone Man- Another shoot out wall.
Dr. Wily- At beginning, go left and use Rush Coil.
Second one- Next to E-Tank.
-Hidden Energy
Bright Man- At big red mini boss, use Rush coil at right to get to ladder.
Stone Man- Another Wall to shoot.
Best Passwords:
Normal: A4, B4, B5, C1, F6.
Hard: A3, B5, C3, D3, E5


Ecco the Dolphin

Cheat Menu
While playing, press Start to view the radar screen. Press Left, 1, 2, 1, 2, Down, 2, Up to reveal a hidden menu. This menu includes options for invincibility, unlimited continues and more!


Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Stage Select
On the Sega Logo, hold Down/Left, Button 1, and Button 2. Wait until Title Screen and watch Tails blink. On his third blink, press Start when his eyes are shut. Note: this cheat is tricky at first, but after 3 or four tries you should be able to get it.


Sonic Chaos

Stage Select
At the title screen press Up, Up, Down, Down, Right, Left, Right, Left, Start. Then just choose a level & play.
Sound Test
At the title screen, press Down, Down, Up, Up, Left, Right, Left, Right,1, 2, and Start.


Sonic Triple Trouble

Stage Select
Hold Up while turning on the Game Gear. On the intro sequence, press start when Knuckles picks up the third emerald. Choose a character and press Start. Choose a stage to play.


Sonic Labyrinth

Stage Select
At the title screen, press Up twice, Right three times, Down six times, and Left nine times. Press Start and Select Config.


Castle of Illusion

Defeating the Chocolate Boss
Beating this boss is a piece of cake (candy?) once you know the secret. Each time the boss hits the wall, four pieces of chocolate will falls. Pick up the one that remains and throw it at him. With practice you can finish him off in less than 15 seconds.
Extra Lives
In level 4 enter the coffee cup screen. Exit the coffee cup and jump across the three rotating platforms until you reach the first dancing Letter A. Climb the ladder to the left of the screen until you reach a room with two bugs, a button, and a barrel. Kill the bugs by throwing the barrel and the button. The button disappears but you can use the barrel to climb up the ladder on the right side of the screen. You'll enter a screen where there's another bug to the right. Kill the bug by jumping on it and continue to the right until you reach a second dancing Letter. Pass the Letter "A" and keep going right. You'll come upon a tiny drop in the floor that looks like it was made out of wood. The drop is just big enough for Mickey to fit into. Jump up by pressing Button 2 twice so that Mickey comes down on his behind. This pops the floor and allows Mickey to enter a secret room with two treasure chests containing a coin and a free Mickey. When you finished the level and go to the boss room - you have to go down a ladder. Jump down the ladder, and hold Left. Eventually Mickey will stop falling and enter a passage. This passage leads to a secret room with an additional life chest.
Secret Treasures
Deep in the forest of level 1 (the far right), you'll find two treasure chests in the lower-left corner of the screen. Jump on the right chest, then immediately jump to the right side of the screen. Two more chests will appear. Jump on them quickly to reveal two coins worth 2,000 points each! Toward the end of level 1 you'll find another set of chests. To find them, pass the cave and go down (to reenter the forest). From here, go left and do an attack jump. Two more treasure chests with large coins should appear.


The Incredible Hulk

Hulk Moves
Here's a few moves to use when you're hulked out.
Throw Upward......Grab enemy, hold up, then press 1
Foot Stomp............While enemy is on ground, press Down, Down, 1
Crush....................Grab enemy, then press Up + 1 + 2


Spider-Man

Pac-Man Style
For a bonus game of Pacman, with Spidey as the main man and Venom as the ghosts, start by playing a game in Nightmare mode. When you collect the key on Electro's level, drop down the left side of the screen. You'll see a small Game Gear on your way down. Land on it and go back to Peter's room. You'll now have an option to start the hidden game.


Streets Of Rage

Cheat Mode
Enter the "Sound Test" selection on the options screen. Play sound 11 and press 1 + 2. A cheat menu that allows damage to be disabled and level selection will appear.


Revenge Of Drancon

Level Select
Hold Down and press Start at the title screen. Press 1 after choosing a new level to begin game play.
Bonus Round
Pass the sign marked with a "2" and locate the snail on the ground. Kill the snail and jump to collect the banana in the tree at this location. A red bag will appear where the banana was located. Collect the bag and Ronnica will escort your character to a bonus round. Note: Taking the red bag during the bonus round will end this sequence.
