This is a multi-purpose leveling guide for good and evil players. Evil players are assumed to be members of Vanir, and have 'Atone' skill, because evil players are very rare on Aardwolf. Good aligned players should not have problems leveling, as their guide to leveling is very straightforward, but evil players may have slight problems achieving thei goals. All and all, happy leveling!

Evil Alignment Players

The first 40 lvls are pretty easy going, even without Atone. Of course, Atone still helps a lot.

ORCHARD -- These mobs are nearly all neutral, but give good experience and lots of them without loadsa 'real' newbies cluttering the place up. Even if you don't atone these mobs, still give good experience and wont affect your alignment by much. Alternative is of course the Mud School and Lowlands.
ISLE OF QUAKE -- More specifically, the seas around the Isle of Quake have some good align mobs, but the fact that its so far for a newbie with few moves and is partly maze means it's not perfect.
LAND OF BEER GOBLINS -- Lots of good aligned mobs here, but mob hp to exp ratio not that good.
ELEMENTAL CANYON -- Much better mob hp to exp ratio, but lot of neutral mobs. You have to start atoning somewhat if you use this area, or find another area.
SOLACE -- Real good area to level, kill good town guards, citizens and rats.
MIDGAARD -- Cityguards, also good levelling mobs, but in demand.
ANTHARIA -- Antharian Peace Guards are nice exp and good aligned.
DOMINIA: PEARL MOX -- Most of the lower level mobs in here are neutral, also some assisting mobs, some of the higher level mobs are good.
ISLE OF QUAKE -- Good aligned Cannabals (lvl 30) are fairly easy for good exp. (Not the sanc'ed ones)
OFCOL -- Again, cityguards, great exp and good aligned.
ANCIENT GREECE: ATHENS -- Again, neutral mobs that wont affect your alignment too much (but yu will have to use atone from time to time), good exp. Citizens and Soldiers.
ANCIENT GREECE: SPARTA -- More neutral mobs, also good experience. Citizens, Soldiers, Teachers and Police officers.
ANTHARIA -- Antherian representatives and knights are good aligned and good exp.
ISLE OF QUAKE -- This time inside the city of Westreen, good aligned citiguards are ok. Difficult to get to tho cos of maze you have to go thru. They also assist. Not first choice.
REME -- My first visit to Reme, although there are lower level mobs in reme. One I like are Reman Nobles, easy to kill, great exp. Watch out for the aggie Legionnaire and Centurian. Also Reme guards assist the nobles. After nobles later come the Citizens.
DOMINIA: JET -- Bout this time I start to kill the neutral wolves, bats are easier and vun to HOLY, but evil.
WAYHOUSE -- This area is mostly full of neutral mobs, waiters, waitresses, farmers and adventurers in that order.
CASTLE VLAD -- Loadsa neutral mobs for a few levels. Start in castle forecourt, move onto the Arena.
NORTHSTAR -- Guards and footsoldiers are nicely good aligned, watch out for assisting knights and citizens.
JENNY'S TAVERN -- Two dartplayers, nice exp and good aligned.
NORTHSTAR -- Back to NS, this time for male citizens, dogs, archers and childs. All good align. Female citizens too in a coupla levels.
JENNY'S TAVERN -- Back here for regular patrons, half good, half evil.
MONASTERY -- Trainee monks and robed monks, nicely good, but nasty magic. Martial Masters are evil align but vun to LIGHTNING weapons. Level of these for a while if you can atone cos they give great exp.
CASINO -- Dealers (good align) and Gamblers (evil align) here.
NORTHSTAR -- Third visit to Northstar, this time for good aligned Window Workers inside the castle.
CIRCUS -- Off to the circus, good aligned Small Childs, beware of assisting mothers & fathers. Now neutral Mothers & Fathers.
XMAS VACATION -- Well loaded money mobs for level, but all evil.Wimpy elfs flee and guard is assist/thief. Blueknight will assist you.
AMAZON NATION -- Next mob with a vunerability. Red and White Cockatoos die nicely if yu have a FIRE weapon, but are evil aligned. Kill a couple levels off the blue and white cockatoos (some magic) and monkeys. Both evil. Can try tse tse flys buy they do flee and evil.
DESERT PRISON -- Nice fully good aligned mobs, careful of aggies tho, esp guards.
PEACEFUL GIANT VILLAGE -- Peasants, but neutral, alternative to Desert Prison. Also good aligned mobs for higher levels.
EMPIRE OF TSUARANNI -- Tough mobs, fully good aligned, and with good cash.
SHADAR LOGOTH -- Good aligned Ghost Servants (lvl 125), nice money too.
CASINO -- Another vun, Inspector Dek (aggie) and ODB, both vun to LIGHTNING, but both evil. Can also take in Raekwon, Method man and good aligned Ghost faced killer.
TAKEDA WARCAMP -- Can kill good aligned footmen here, but long fights.
MOUNTAINS OF DESOLATION -- I like the Earth Elementals in the north east part. Not vun to LIGHTNING, but nice, easy kills, if evil aligned. Elite Stone Giants are nicely vun to LIGHTNING as well, but only one without vorpal weapon.
DUNE -- Dune guards near the entrance. Good aligned and fairly easy to kill. As Trigus put it: Yummy.
DESERT PRISON -- Back for the harder, good aligned mobs, careful of magic and web.
AMAZON NATION -- Cleaning servants inside the castle are good aligned. Also Visitors which are evil and thief mobs (cast shockproof if yu can).
SOULBLADE: CHINA -- Nice levelling area, try good fishermen and evil tongs. Tongs are faster fights.
SOULBLADE: GERMANY -- Good aligned Squires and the Horse. Can atone Duelists.
SOULBLADE: JAPAN -- Go downwards into the dungeons for Giant Snakes. Nicely vun to COLD, but need atoning.
SOULBLADE: SPAIN -- Good aligned citizens and evil pirates.
AMAZON NATION -- Evil followers (cast willpower if yu have it) and good clerics with Valaska.
DUNE -- All need atoning, Raiding Fremen (cast globe), Harkonian Soldiers (cast Energy Shield) and Sardulkars (cast globe). These were the best mobs to level off nearing 201, but they are recently been made to assist each other. Best of all, the lvl 210 Giant Sandworms (cast acidproof) , although in the maze, are nicely vun to BASH and MAGIC (and possibly ACID, but havn't checked this properly).
AMAZON NATION -- Bodyguards are level 205, good and give nice exp esp if you have mage globe. Not recommended, Feasters are evil and have weapon resistance. long fights, but if yu run out of other mobs, could try.
CTHOS MISHRAK -- Chandims are tough, but fully atoned and give decent exp. Hassan, Ivar and Al capone (casino) Hassan, all resistances, long, long fight but good align. Ivar, neutral, faster fight, but hits harder. Al Capone, lvl 205 mob in casino, needs atoning and has sanc, but gives good exp.

Good Alignment Players


1-5 lvl: These levels are not a problem to get. You need not worry about equipment just yet. (Although i do recommend picking up the glasses from brainy smurf and the necklace from smurfette. Smurf Village is 2s4e3n2w3nw2n8w3n2e3n from recall). For a list of other nice levelling gear for many levels you should check out Torrid's Aardwolf page and his Levelling Eq List. You should go right to the cage rooms in MUDschool and kill the monsters their until you are level 4. be sure you grab a yellow visitors band to the lowlands and an adventurers guild diploma from the mobs at the end of MUDschool. At this point you are ready to go to the Lowlands and kit yourself out with some low level gear and a garbage can (portal to recall). By the time you have done this you should be about level 6 and be ready to get on with the real levelling!


5-40: The next 40 levels until you are able to use sanctuary potions will be the most dangerous ones of your levelling life. As soon as you are able to you should buy potions of anti evil/good from the potion shop in town as protection from evil and good cut down on a fair bit of damage. Levels 6-15 can be annoying. Areas like the Chessboard and the Mob factory can be used to get these ones out of the way. By around level 15 (earlier if you have some kindly friend who spells you up) you should be able to tackle Doom & Gloom. This is a fairly small area but the Zombie men, followed by shotgun guys and finally heavy weapon dudes are plentiful, dont assist and are great xp! You can also pick up 'health bonus' pills from the entry to Doom & gloom. As soon as Doom & Gloom starts to become a bit low on the old xp it is time to move to the Jet Mox in Dominia. The flaming bite damage type (which can be found on the flaming axe, belonging to the troll slayers in Dead troll pass). works wonders in here. Kill bog wraiths, murk dwellers,khabal ghouls,phrexian gremlins and bog imps to your hearts content. I would suggest keeping away from this area until at least level 20. By about level 25 it might pay to shift to Kul-Tiras where there is some good XP to be had. You should beware of aggies in this area however. The home stretch before sanc potions should be spent in Descent to hell. There are plenty of good mobs here. By about level 30 you should be able to start off here as long as you are careful. People with a desire for something different might like to try the sleepy pirates on the Pirate Ship. these guys are not sought after by many people but can be excellent xp for many levels.


40-60: After you have sanctuary you should have a pretty easy time of it for a while. The next major milestone you will face is level 60 and the 3xhealing potions available on the MUD. There are also 4xheal potions to be had but these of course force you to use more than you need and weigh more so its better to use the triples in my opinion. You should be able to get to level 50 without too much stress in Descent to Hell and killing the afore mentioned sleepy pirates at the Pirate Ship. As soon as you hit level 50 you should go to the Crusader's temple and (provided you can use them) purchase a Sword of Truth and Gavel of Justice. These weapons work exceptionally well on the Harbingers of Evil or Bat-Winged Messengers who can be found in the Yurgach domain. You should be able to kill these guys without much trouble for great xp until you arrive at level 60 and will be equipped to move on to sterner stuff . :)


Level 60 - 80: Jenny's Tavern is a fine levelling locale as long as you are prepared to spend money on healing potions. Pretty young ladies, the sleepy woman, the shady character, the Varthin warrior, the dusty wino and later the tavern's Regular Patrons, can be very very nice xp.


Level 80 - 100 : Provided it is not crowded out, Northstar can be bountiful. The Monks and Priests of the Dark God can be worth a try after level 90 but you should stick to large rats, large flies and Blood Ring nobles beforehand. As an alternative, the borg area in ST:TNG can be nice, especially if you have a weapon with one of the many magic damage types. Human borgs are especially nice. Be careful of aggies here however.


Level 100 - 130 : This can be a kind of annoying time XPwise. Xmas Vacation can be worth a look even though most of the mobs are neutral. The slaughterhouse is undoubtedly the most plentiful locale for mobs to fight. Be extremely careful of the aggies here though. The second floor is your best bet. Zombies and lesser and then later on greater demons can be great. I cant stress enough how careful you have to be of being ping-ponged around like a ragdoll by piles of aggies in this area. As soon as you can take them, I would suggest you start to fight the Wu-Tang clan in the Casino. Method Man is a bit tougher than the rest but the others are VERY easy for their level and should see you right until you can pass the level lock for arboria.


Level 130 - 150 : Very simple. Pay 2tp to flag your Aard weapon as divine power damtype, buy a Lash of the Pious (TM) from the Crusader's clan hall, Get a high level friend to buy the key for you and head to the graveyard in arboria and mow through those zombies for all you are worth. They are vulnerable to divine power and are very evil. They will be great until level 150 when you might like to move on.


Level 150 - 170 : Till about level 165 the Visitors in Amazon Nation are great xp, not to mention wealthy. As soon as you are strong enough, you should check out soulblade. All the countries except Spain and Japan should offer you some great mobs. The Duelists in Germany are especially yummy.


Level 170 - 201 : The true home stretch. From here it is more of a question of beating the other levellers to the mobs than knowing where to go for xp. DUNE has some easy mobs which are great xp and soulblade will still yield nice amounts for you. Amazon nation has Diplomats and Feasters and Arboria has the guildmasters who can be nice for a while also. No matter what you do, the last 10 levels are going to be rather slow. Persist and kill like mad and before you know it a new superhero will be born!
