Ramza: A very good class, especially in the begginning, as Ramza can equip armor without leaving the Squire job class.
Agrias: Your first introduction to the most powerful classes. She will be a huge power player in the 2nd, and even 3rd chapter.
Mustadio: "Engineer" is not a great class. In fact you will be training Mustadio to be either a Calc. or a Chemist, or at least that's what I did...
Rafa&Malak: Having Attacks that do damage randomly, you might consider not training them. They do carry good pieces of equipment though...
Meliadoul: When you get M. you already have Orlandu, so she is somewhat like Rafa & Malak. She has a rare sword and a rare accesory, and might even be worth training as an extra attacker.
Orlandu: ..... Let me just say this: If you pass up on him... you must really be crazy. Besides doing 2x the damage of Agrias' and Meliadoul's attacks, he has Night sword (nuff said huh?). His equip. includes the sword Excalibur that does alot of damage, strengthens his attack and gives him haste always. You will win every battle with him so train him well!!
Beowulf: Another great npc. His mg. Sword attacks include great status ailments and he is almost as powerful as Orlandu.
Reis: Like Cloud, she comes late in the game, and therefore isn't really worth it (despite the fact that Cloud is more powerful...).
Cloud: Not a great class, but a great character, should you choose to train him from lv. 1....
