Pokémon Red was the second gameboy game for Pokemon released in the US. It is a tad bit harder than the blue version, things cost more in the Casino to buy and other small things are harder or cost more. As I said with Pokemon Blue, I would suggest waiting for the silver and gold versions to come out in the US.
