Web Site Design Profiles: Guidelines that Make Sense for You WebBuilding has lots of helpful links for graphics, etc. for developing web pages. Web Pages That Suck provides design suggestions through non-examples. Clip Art Resources University of Michigan WebServices Homepage Brain Soup: tesselating artwork for backgrounds A-1 Icon Archive: Graphics, bullets, clipart, HTML editors, etc. Clip Art Connection: a nicely organized clip art archive -- lots of animated gifs Noetic Clip Art: a really nice collection Barry's Clip Art Server: lots of clip art organized by artist Art Today claims to have the largest clip art library anywhere! (Much of the library requires paid membership) Boogie Jack is a collection of backgrounds, buttons, borders, etc. WebBuilder has lots of helpful links for graphics, etc. for developing web pages. HTML Resources The Bare Bones Guide to HTML is a popular site featuring HTML tags and browser-specific tags Demonstration of Basic and Advanced HTML Tags is a nice tutorial showing tags and their affects NCSA (at UIUC) Beginner's Guide to HTML provides a good intro to HTML. You can download pdf files of the primer or view it on the web. Be prepared to wade through several lines of code at a time, though. Compendium of HTML Elements is a friendlier-looking listing of tags and their functions. Compact Index of HTML Tags provides an alphabetical listing of tags. Web Developer's "How do I ...?" Page is list of questions and answers about almost anything related to web page development
