Acclaim to Produce Line of Game Boy Titles

Acclaim has announced their plans for the release of many of their popular PlayStation and Saturn titles on Nintendo's Game Boy. Acclaim's chairman recently stated "We see the Game Boy as a platform with potential. Nintendo knows how to make game platforms and games, and, well...you can't go wrong with the Game Boy. The handheld platform packs a punch into it's small package." We here at Game Mag Online don't see the reasoning behind this, in any way whatsoever. Nevertheless, the majority of the titles will hit store shelves in February.

Recent reports show that the super powers Bill Gates and Howard Lincoln have joined forces to combine console gaming and home PC use into one, affordable, portable package. The current plans for this new gaming system include the connection of a keyboard, mouse, and floppy drive with the 32-bit Virtual Boy. When asked why the technology was being used on Virtual Boy rather than Nintendo 64, Lincoln stated "The Virtual Boy's marketing plan has already been fouled up. If the project is successful and Virtual Boy sales go up, we may adapt the feature to the Nintendo 64 in early '98." The two reluctantly revealed that the new Windows 97 will be included along with Microsoft Office 97, a mouse, keyboard, floppy or zip drive, and a speedy 56.6 bps modem for an all-in-one package of $199. Gates suggests that a web browser may be included with the package by its release date, but nothing is definite at this point in time. "Being much more affordable than a portable notebook, the PC Boy should revolutionize the way today's consumers use computers," states the confident Gates.

You're missing a great pic, non-graphic browsers!

Sega recently announced their latest, system, currently dubbed "Sega Pluto." Combining all of the features of the Saturn, PlayStation, and Nintendo 64, the 64-bit Pluto is currently planned for a release date in the summer of '97. Currently, only one picture is available with anything having to do with the Sega Pluto, and it's the controller (shown to the left). It features only four main buttons on the face of the controller, but an additional four will be conveniently placed on the rear of the controller where the ring and pinky finger normally lie. Behind Sega's Back, one Sega employee (who will remain anonymous due to privacy) daringly said "It's similarities to the PlayStation controller design are very surprising. I think we'll see a lawsuit later this year." Yours truly feels the same way. This is an extremely risky move on Sega's part. Round up 'dem lawyers honey, we got a lawsuit on our hands!

More will be available as design plans get further along.
