Chatsworth, CA, August 9, 1998 --- TITUS Software announces the upcoming release of the long awaited Superman on Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation in a new 3-Dimensional, interactive real life format that will bring the legendary DC Comics' character to life like never before! As a special bonus for collectors, during the first week of release a limited edition Superman comic book will be included in the game boxes. Imagine you are Superman! Your job is to defeat the villainous Lex Luther who plots to take over and control Metropolis, rescue a kidnapped Lois Lane from Lex's henchmen the Dark Shadows, and battle Lex's evil cohorts Brainiac, Parasitte, and Metallo. Only Superman can stop them! Of course this won't be easy, Lex Luther has masterminded any means possible to destroy Superman, including spreading a Kryptonite fog over Metropolis' strategic points and forming alliances with the worst of Superman's adversaries. Realistic action settings include the Daily Planet underground parking, the subway, Lexcorp warehouse on the docks, Brainiac's spacecraft, STARlab, and metropolis rooftop. TBA bonus level events will also be an added attraction to the game. The game principles include a 16 different mission-based levels, all of Superman's Usual Powers (X-ray Vision, Flight, Acute Hearing, Super Strength) and Super Poers (Freezing breath, Anti-Kryptonite armor, shooting laser beams from his eyes, and very high flight), which can be obtained as a bonus simply by passing a level. Objects such as cars, trains, street lamps, and other 3-D objects are fair game during battle, simply by pickup them up and hurling them at your opponent. Superman is scheduled for release at retail in November 1998 on Nintendo 64 and Sony PlayStation. |
