Spells

Spell Name
Description
Item Repair Skill
An ability that only warriors have. They can repair their weapons during battle. But over use of this spell will make the weapon very brittle (less durable).
Staff Recharge Skill
An ability only mages have. Basically like the repair skill, lowering total charges of the staff.
Trap Disarm Skill
An ability that only rogues have. With this ability/spell rogues are able to disarm trapped chests and retrieve the treasure safely.
Firebolt
Most likely one of the first spells you get. A relatively weak spell, when cast it fires a miniature firebolt towards the enemy.
Charged Bolt
This spell will most likely be the first lightning spell you get. It fires a number of bolts towards the direction you are facing. The number of bolts it fires depends on the level of the spell.
Holy Bolt
Basically a modified version of the firebolt. It fires a blue bolt, inflicts more damage, but will only damage the undead (such as skeletons).
Healing
What else... it heals you.
Heal Other
It heals your multiplayer friend.
Inferno
It fires a stream of fire that spreads out at the end. How far the stream travels depends on the level of the spell.
Identify
A scroll that does the same thing Cain that does.
Firewall
Duh. It makes a wall of fire that burns anyone dumb enough to step into it.
Teleknesis
My opinion of this spell is that it is okay. If you're to lazy to walk to the goat shrine, or open a chest you know is trapped, you can use this spell to do that for you.
Lightning
This spell shoot a continous stream of lightning that continues through enemies unless it hits a wall.
Town Portal
This is the most useful spell of all. It creates a blue portal that takes you to town behind Griswold, and remains open until you take it back down.
Flash
This creates a ring of energy that hits anything in an eight square radius around you. It is worthless if you use it against monsters that are immune to magic.
Stone Curse
Temporariliy turns an enemy to stone. While he is stone, run up and hit him. Useful for those guys that don't stand still. Doesn't work against players in multiplayer.
Phasing
This spells takes you to another part of the dungeon. It is random where you go though. Useful for getting away if you're surrounded by monsters.
Mana Shield
This spell creates a "shield" around you(a little bubble above your head) that, when you're hit, it takes away from mana instead of life, until you're mana runs out.
Elemental
This spell sends a little guy that explodes when he hits a wall or an enemy. I don't think you have to aim, because he changes directions after I've cast him.
Fireball
A larger scale version of the firebolt. It does more damage, and takes more mana to cast. Unlike firebolt it explodes on its target, and will hit anyone in the surrounding area.
Flame Wave
Sends a wave of fire that travels over the floor. Very useful in the chamber of bone.
Chain Lightning
One of my favorite spells. It launches many lightning bolts in the direction of the closest enemines. After a few guys, it starts to wear off.
Guardian
An okay spell. A dragon creature pops out of the ground and starts shooting firebolts at every monster in sight.
Apocalypse
I think this is the best spell. It engulfs every enemy on the screen in flames.
Golem
An okay spell if used on lvls 1-8. When you cast it, a stone creature comes out of the ground and walks around, hitting everything in sight. When you get down to the lower lvls, it gets destroyed quickly.
Nova
My favorite spell. It casts a ring of lightning from you, and proceeds to hit anything. It stops only when it hits a wall.
Teleport
Another of my favorite spells. If you're to lazy to open a door(like me) you can cast this, and it moves you to wherever yo ur cursor was.
Bone Spirit
A ghost hits the monster and takes off 1/3 of his life.
Blood Star
An okay spell. It is the same thing as those annoying Succubu monsters shoot. At a higher level, it is okay.
Infravasion
Mostly useless. All the monsters out of your little light radius appear red.
Blood Ritual
A spell that is a mystery to me. It supposedly takes your hit points and converts them in to mana. I've never gotten it to work, and I've never seen it in the game.
