Parents: Jason (stepfather) and Victoria Galloway, both still alive and working in San Francisco, Earth for the Federation, in Administration. Very little is known about her real father except his name, Katan, as her mother refuses to talk about him.
Background: The eldest of three children (two stepsisters), Tory was the tomboy of the family. If there was any mischief or practical jokes being played, it was certain that she was the instigator of the affair.
Tory suffered through an unpleasant childhood, being the butt of many insults and jokes thrust upon her by her peers. At that time in the Federation's history, the Romulans were still classed as "The Enemy" and Tory was taunted with the fact that her father was probably a spy that tricked her mother into marriage. Never given the chance to become "part" of the normal groups that children devolved into, Tory became introverted, ignoring everyone except her family members. This was classed as Romulan "arrogance" and the gap with her peers widened.
After leaving school with slightly above average grades she decided to wait a year before entering Starfleet, to travel a little. Finally entering the Academy, Tory graduated after majoring in Science.
Although Tory spent a number of years aboard her first assignment, the USS Nimitz, she never really felt as though she belonged. With hindsite, she would probably admit that the problem with interaction with the crewmembers was her own fault, but she was never really happy aboard the vessel.
The feeling of isolation was to change when she joined the crew of Starbase 565.
During her time at Starbase 565 Tory met Pendragon, the El-Aurian Chief Engineer, and over time their friendship developed into a deeper relationship. The couple planned to marry but their wedding plans were put on hold when Tory went to the Command Academy in preparation to taking over the running of SB 565. Upon her return, and subsequent promotion to Captain, their plans were again put on hold while the station relocated to Sector Wolf 359. During the move Pendragon was fatally injured in an explosion in Engineering, leaving Tory devastated by his loss.
While deeply mourning the loss of her Fiancé, Tory endeavoured to pick up the pieces of her life, and cope with her new command, though it was sometimes difficult.
Through the trials of Tremik, the Romulan Ambassador sent to the station to disrupt the normal operation of the station (and a constant thorn in the side of the SB crew), Tory clung to the memory of Pendragon to pull her through. She gradually began to rely on two of her senior officers, Ajon Mox (the Trill XO, who shared a brief past with Tory) and her Helm Officer, Deddog (frequently refered to as "Ferengi Helm") for support and commradeship. The three had a peculiar relationship which was to last until Deddog's untimely death at the hands of unknown assailants.
During the numerous visits by Bravo Fleet ships, one, more than any other became relevant to Tory's history. The USS Nobel docked with the station, and suddenly Treig Holmes was present in Tory's life.
