Appearance: Jahren looks like a body builder. If he could get any larger he would pop. He looks like a ST5 Klingon. He has non-green skin, it's more brownish. He has the Bjoran nose ridge, but he also has a slight bony ridge going up the center of his forehead. His hair is parted similar to the ST5 Klingon.

Personality/Profile: Jahren is a easy going individual. He is usually very easy to get along with. He is focused on his duties and his training. However, he also knows how to have a bit of fun.

At one time he used to be the cause of mischief. Now more mature in his life he has squared himself out. Jahren is intense in very few things, his martial training and his physical well being are included in them though. If asked to compete he will humbly decline. Jahren is self-conscious about his looks(See post academy). He doesn't usually admit to the fact that he is self-conscious.

Hobbies: Martial Arts, Melee Weapons, Physical Activity of any kind, Religion (specifically Bjoran and Klingon).

Family: Parents Unknown, adopted by Tiaga Lore

Background:Pre-Academy: At the age of 5 Jharen's parents were killed by cardassians. Jahren to this day does not know who his father and mother were.

He was taken in by a local religious man named Tiaga Lore. Tiaga was a fair man who saw the good that Jahren could do for Bajor and it's people. He taught Jahren the ways of life, religion and that the only reliability in life is what you know you can do. Jahren learned and lived these lessons.

At the age of 8 he began a rigerous athletic life. Tiaga instructed him in the martial arts that were taught from various areas all over the universe. Tiaga taught Jahren that not only can you rely on your body but, you can also rely on your mind.

Jahren had no interest in becoming what would be considered exceptionally intelligent, but he did begin work with mental excersises that allowed him to perceive the universe in a different way.

At the age of 15 Tiaga was killed by Cardassians. Jahren was studying when the Cardassians entered the home stating that Tiaga was holding valuable information. Tiaga made no struggle as the Cardassians interrogated him. When they found that Jahren was hiding in another room they brought him out and forced him to watch. Jahren will never forget their faces, and he has vowed their death will come from his hands.

After finishing off Tiaga, the Cardassians brought Jahren to a labor camp on Bajor. He spent one year there. While working in the camp he learned much information on the underground group and their leader Dantares Franklin.

Jahren met this Franklin and found him to be a undercover operative from StarFleet. Several weeks later he had much more information on the underground group and assisted Franklin in leading a revolt against the Cardassian supressors. The revolt was successful and allowed thousands of Bajorans to go free and be reunited with their families.

However, the war was far from over. Jahren was now 16 years old. He with the help of Lt.Dantares Franklin found an underground group called the Maquee.

He spent several years running from and attacking Cardassians. In battle he was considered by his peers to be unstoppable. A Bajoran with a Klingon heart. Once in a battle he was very badly injured, yet still continued to fight. Later it was found that he had a shattered leg and a head trauma that would have killed a normal man.

During one of these battles Jahren was able to locate Tiaga's killers. He dispatched them quickly and without honor for thier souls. Then he made sure that their bodies would never be found.

When the Maquee was finally destroyed Jahren was on Bajor recovering from wounds. He was told by the remaining members that he had a long life to live, that he should follow Lt. Franklin back to Star Fleet. Jahren left with Lt.Franklin and headed for Earth. Perhaps one day he will return to his vendetta, or more hopefully there will be no vendetta to return for.

Shortly after Jahren left the maquee, Cardassian undercover agents infiltrated Bajor and killed the remaining known Maquee members. Jahren has been since convinced that, had he been there, he could have done little to help the men and women that died. All that was left was their honour.

With the assistance from an unknown Captain, his unlikely application was accepted to the Academy.
