Academy History: Rvik joined the Academy after turning 20 and, after a strenuous four years, he passed 20th in his class.

He then took some training at a marine base, which he was at for two straight years. While there he broke his left arm while climbing a mountain but that didn't stop him and he passed the training that year. He was stationed on a colony in the Mundrea system where he and fellow marines fought off a group of Klingons who were raiding the colony. After defeating the Klingons, he put in a request to be transfered to a federation post, and was assigned to Starbase 565 in Sector Wolf 359.
