LET ME TELL YOU A LITTLE ABOUT  JASPER

Jasper is a Siberian tiger he is male . He was moved to me by the SIBERIAN TIGER SPECIES SURVIVAL PLAN, which is a group of zoo keepers trying to save the big cats by breeding them in zoos.


There aren,t very many of these special animals left in the wild---- only about 400---- and my mission is to make sure this one thrives in his new zoo home.
Since SIBERIAN tigers may not survive in the wild , zoos----- including my zoo----- may be JASPERS only safe haven.

How much do Tigers weigh?

Jasper weighs as much as 60 pet cats combined. Even though he lives in captivity,he,s always going to be a wild animal
Jasper is a powerful jumper and can easily leap ten feet (three meters) off the ground his speed is approximately 35 miles per hour this speed could only be sustained for a short period of time.
Unlike Cheetahs, which run great distances at high speeds to chase their prey Siberian Tigers
stalk their prey, getting as close as possible before attacking

What kind of food do tigers eat in their habitat ?

In the wild, Tigers mostly like to eat wild pig, wild cattle, and deer.
The animals that Tigers eat  are usually forest or grassland animals with hoofs.
These animals range in size from 65 to 2,000 pounds. In the Sunderbans , a 10,360 sq.km (4,000 square mile) densly-forested river delta area in India and Bangldesh, tigers are reported to eat fish, frogs, and crabs- this is pretty unusual though!
In the zoos Tigers are fed a prepared diet of horse meat and vitamins.
They eat about 10 pounds of meat a day.

How long do Tigers live ?

Wild Tigers Live to be about 10-15 years old in zoos, Tigers can live to be 20 years old or more
