With a hex editor open a save game file, on the very first line
(hex 0000) you will see (something like) this:

00000000 - 0100 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
now modify columns 5,6 and 7 to read F301 or FFFF; it will look like this
00000000 - 0100 0000 0000 0000 F301 F301 F301 0000
