     Zerg Larvae

Unit Type: Infant Zerg Stage

Unit Size: Small

Hit Points: 20

Base Armor Rating: 10

After you tell a Larvae to morph into a unit, It first turns into an Egg. The Unit you are producing grows inside the egg, then bursts out when it is done.

The Larvae is spontaneously produced to a maximum of 3 at one given time at each Hatchery. To build any Zerg unit, you must select your larvae, which wonder around the Hatchery, and tell it to morph into a specific Zerg unit. They are a pain to kill but if you just kill the Hatchery, the Larvae die after the creep receeds.

The Drone gathers all the resources you need to support your troops.

The Hatchery, Spawning Pool, Hydralisk Den, Evolution Chamber, Creep Colony, and Assimilator are created by the Drone under this Catergory.

The Spire, Queen's Nest, Ultralisk Cavern, Defiler Mound,

Many Zerg ground units have the ability to burrow into the ground. When a unit is burrowed, it cannot move or attack, with the exception of the Lurker. They also cannot be seen by enemy units uless it is a detector unit.

The Drone is the worker unit for the Zerg. The Drone has a major weakness over and SCV or a Probe. When a Drone makes a building, it actually morphs into the building itself. So you lose a Drone every time you build a building. Since the Drone can burry, if you ever find yourself in that sticky situation known as the Reaver Drop, just burrow all your Drones as fast as you can.

     Zerg Zergling

Unit Type: Basic Attack Unit

Cost: 25

Build Time: 28

Control: 1/2

Buildings Required:

Hatchery
Spawning Pool

Hit Points: 30

Attack Type: Melee Attack

Range: 1

Rate of Fire: 116 attacks per minute

Damage Type: Normal

Attack Power: 5 (upgrade factor: +1)

Many Zerg ground units have the ability to burrow into the ground. When a unit is burrowed, it cannot move or attack, with the exception of the Lurker. They also cannot be seen by enemy units uless it is a detector unit.

The Zergling is an extremely weak attack unit. It 4 of them don't stand a chance against 1 Zealot. Groups of Marines slaughter even larger groups of Zerglings. The only good thing about Zerglings is that you can beat the snot out of someone with the 6 Zergling rush, you make 2 from one Larvae, and their upgrades make them a little more useful.

     Zerg Overlord

Unit Type: Transport/Farm/Detector]

Unit Size: Large

Cost: 100

Build Time: 40

Buildings Required:

Hatchery

Hit Points: 200

Attack Type: none

Base Armor Rating: 0 (upgrade factor +0)

The Overlord is the Transport unit for the Zerg. You must research the Transporting ability, but first you should get the speed upgrade, because without that, the Overlord has a high chance of dying in transit, thus you lose all you units inside too.

The Overlord is a 3 in 1 unit. Not only are they your Supply Depot/Pylon unit, they are also your Detectors, and your Transports, all for the meager price of 100 minerals! Now isn't that a great deal? The biggest problem is that you have to upgrade it to death before you can use if for anything other than hovering.

     Zerg Hydralisk

Unit Type: Ground Support Unit

Cost: 75 25

Build Time: 26

Control: 1

Buildings Required:

Hatchery
Hydralisk Den

Hit Points: 80

Attack Type: Ground and Air

Range: 4 (+1)

Rate of Fire: 70 attacks per minute

Damage Type: Normal

Attack Power: 10 (upgrade factor: +1)

Base Armor Rating: 0 (upgrade factor: +1)

Many Zerg ground units have the ability to burrow into the ground. When a unit is burrowed, it cannot move or attack, with the exception of the Lurker. They also cannot be seen by enemy units uless it is a detector unit.

After you get your Lair, you can choose to morph your Hydralisks into Lurkers.

The Hydralisk is one of the best all around units in the game. They are great for all uses. True they may not live very long in the heat of battle, but if you use the swarming technique with Hydralisks, it can end up being one of the best attacks in the game, even if you do lose most of your Hydralisks. They Swarm Teqhnique is not very good to use in a Free For All.
