Future spce of Crossfire Commando's web-site!

Chris Crossling founded the Crossfire Commando's in 30?? with Griffic Lasuns (a family friend) and several other friends from the Academy. He managed to aqquire a company of mechs, and operated as garrison troops for the Federated Suns, and later the Federated Commonwealth. The Crossfire Commando's never had the reputation of units like the Wolf Dragoon's or the Kell Hounds, but they were a battle-tested unit with several key victories to their credit. In 3049, War changed the fate of the Inner Sphere forever. The Clans, a new and deadly enemy, invaded, sweeping all before their onslaught. As the Federated Commonwealth desperately tried to stop the invaders, they bled troops. Garrison forces across the realm were thrown into front-line combat. The Crossfire Commando's were no exception. Chris Crossling, using mechs capable of operating deep behind enemy lines for extended periods, began raiding clan space for the FedCom before the proverbial ink was dry on the Truce of Tukyid(sp!). For two years, everything went fine. Just as his daughter was about to join the unit, the Commando's were ambushed and ravaged by clan forces on a raid. Chris gave his life to save his warrior's.

Now, recently orphaned, Sandra Crossling must take the tattered remains of her father's unit and re-mold them into a fighting force. Using the last of her inheratance to repair and re-fit the surviving mechs, the Sandragon seeks to fill her father's footsteps.

Their first challenge!
True to form, one morning Jungleman dropped a chit on Sadragon's desk. He claimed he had booked some "sim time" for the unit competing against another, fire support, merc lance. There were a few things he forgot to mention. First (and foremost) he neglected to inform Sandy that he had bet the unit's last 50k on the outcome of the simulator battle. Money he had no right to bet. In his 'defence', he KNEW that the Commando's would win. Secondly, he also included in the bet the losing party would be responsible for the simulator fee's. As this runs around 200 c-bills per hour PER SIM POD, this would have been quite expensive. As predicted, the Commando's DID win the day, but Jungleman's in for a tounge-lashing he'll never forget!

The Price of Freedom
In the Crossfire Commando's first contract under Sandragon, they don't have much in the way of choices. However, Griff has gotten ahold of an old "contact" of his from the days when Chris was running the unit. Based on Griff's friends recommendation, there is a Garrison-duty contract available. 9 months long, renewable upon mutual consent, and at a decent pay-grade.
