THE NIGHT OF SECRETS!

THE NIGHT OF SECRETS!

The night of Secrets! Everyone went to the warehouse, and all found something different!

The 'warehouse incident' has raised issues of trust in the party. Claudia's habit of talking only made things worse. This lack of trust could possibly be used by a cunning enemy to divide and weaken the party if steps are not taken to remedy things. But I will begin with verifyable facts.

Nothing else notable happened on the night of the fight. Malik and Pete spent the night at City Hall and Derrik spoke with alik the next evening. Derrik sent Pete to the Malkavian's Warehouse to wait for them. There, Pete filled up on rats and waited for Malik to arrive. In Due time, Malik and Derrik arrived and picked up the unliving flesh of Pete Hall. Pete spent the rest of the evening in Malik's presence (as always) and therefore his only questionable time was in the warehouse.

Claudia spent most of the first part of the evening practicing with her band. After a while, she had trouble concentrating on anything so left. She then met up with Malik and company at her place. In the confusion of the previous evening's fight, she had forgotten to play for Annabelle's party. Claudia has an alibi for the time spent alone (even though her only witnesses are mortal and under her influence) so she is reasonably above suspicion.

No one had seen the Malkavian (who has many naes so I'll not use them unless it's one personality's actions that are in question) he was completely out of contact with the rest of the party. Still he was the 'victim' of the event, so he's not a suspect (though the Nolan personality is).

Despite his anti-social tendancies (what else do you call assassination? That's pretty daned anti-social!) Hale (aka Bob) is rather friendly with the walking cauldron of insanity we call Grek. And, being both the one who discovered some small inconsistancies and the one who rescued the victim from a morning crisping, as well as being the prosecution about said event, I don't think he suspects himself. If he does, well, he's in good company with Dre.

The Snake is out of things for a while (though he ay well have been the unknown perp, he has yet been able to present a defence...as well as being considered MIA) and Derrik has been, for the most part, out of the party since becoming the second Primogen of Clan Gangrel.

Now that we've covered the players, let's cover known facts. Hale found Dre staked and laying in the middle of his warehouse floor directly under a window, moonlight shining on him. It is unknown how long he had been laying there, but all evidence points to it having been less than one day. Or he had been moved by the perp. Dre's hands were wrapped around the stake as if he'd drivin it into his own heart.

Under questioning, Malik's bodyguard did reveal that he'd seen the Malkavian's body in the warehouse, but had decided not to comment on it, knowing Nolan's dreams of sunbathing. He pointed out the his ob was to guard MALIK, not a Malkavian or anyone else. Though he DID come briefly to Claudia's defence during questioning, that was out of secondhand duty to Malik. Among other things, Claudia inadvertantly made things worse by mentioning that she had seen Pete earlier that evening. This was damning because the only tie Pete had been seperated from Malik was during his time at the warehouse. Pete rose to his own defence at that point, stating that it had been quite early in the evening when the pair had been feeding. Claudia looked to be doing more of the same, and Pete is (now) known for not mentioning anyone to Malik when his safety isn't in questioning. Pete promised to try and work on this, and mention anyone he saw that Malik knows.

What will the end result of this fracturing of the party's trust? It is unknown. Also unknown is if there will be further investigation on the matter. Things on the surface have returned to normal, with one glaring difference: Dre is back. Yes Dre, the psychotic, knife wielding other personality for the Malkavian. The known Sabbat personality. The personality that the Sabbat Bishop known as Mother 'broke' in anger.
