My Chicago is a unsteady city of intrigue, deciet, and subterfuge. In short, everything that the World of Darkness is famous for. The majority of the power is in the Prince's hands. She controlls the Police, and the Newspapers. WGN is owned by the Toreador Primogen, and several local buisinesses are owned by other Primogen. The Prince holds reign by dint of Physicall prowess, and prestige. The Primogen support her only so long as she can maintain her position. The only true loyalty she has is from several members of Kindred society that she has Blood-Bound. This is a tenious bond at best, and in threat of failing. For now, the Prince's ritual Demand of Service causes a little bad blood between her and the younger neonates, but is applauded by the Primogen Council. Trouble is stirring once again, and the Prince has allowed several trusted Kindred to create Childer (Progeny) to help out with the situation.
Other notable Kindred include:
Annabelle
The Rat
Michael Crawford
Regent Fossy
Who else? We'll see.
QUOTES
Why not. In an effort to add to this site in general, and to create better suspension of disbelief, I'm going to sporadically add quotes from city Kindred. Watch what you say!
"An eternity is too short a time to worry about how others see you. Enjoy the night, and your unlife will not be wasted." Michael Crawford.
"Politics? Whatever. My nights are FAR too important to bother myself with such boring matters. Look at the beauty that surounds us! If the Embrace wasn't to let us live, what was it for?" Annabelle.
"Look at them, fighting over the scraps the Prince tosses like dogs beneath their masters table. The Embrace may twist our bodies, but it dstroys others souls. Make no mistake, it is not the surface-dwellers who shun us, it is we who shun them." The Rat.
"City-bred. Not a decent one among them. Now the Prince, she's different. Not that many blue-bloods willing to let themselves go in a full out hunt in the wilderness. Let me tell you, she can hold her own even against us, too. Not like one of them artsy types. They always seemed too fragile to me. Yeah I knows she wants something from us, the point is, she's got what she wants, we've got whatever we want. 'Nuff said."Anonyms Gangrel Elder.
