Introduction to LBA1

The game starts with a movie. This is the dream of a young quetch, named Twinsen…

Because of these dreams Twinsen believes, that Sendell, the Goddess of Twinsun (the planet) is calling him. There is an evil dictator, Dr Funfrock. He drove the dwellers out of the northern hemisphere and justified himself by saying that it was for the good of the people. He built big centres in this hemisphere, for cloning and teleportation. He had the power to take any race of people he chose, clone them and deploy them into his ranks via telepods all over the planet. This way he could keep law and order the way he wanted it. There was however a legend, saying that one day a tyrant would rise up and seize control of the planet. In these times of distress, the heir would make himself known and take up a mission to overthrow the tyrant. Dr Funfrock was afraid of ‘The Legend’ and tried to make people forget about it. He passed a law that it was illegal even to mention ‘The Legend’. Dr Funfrock has Twinsen thrown into an asylum because of his dreams and the first scene is Twinsen, waiting in his cellblock…

This game is incredible; that’s the only word that can be used to describe it! The graphics are out of another era, and as for the storyline, Mr Reynal has some imagination. If you have a PC and only about £10, go and buy this game, it’s a must. All the other LBA web site owners will agree with me!
