Twinsen quickly decided that he wasn’t going to do just what the thugs wanted, if he could save his planet twice then he could save his family. Stuffing the piece of paper in his pocket he went outside. He looked across to his neighbour's house, but thought no, he would need people who could fight. Downtown he could make out the flashing lights of the pub, which was still open at 2am. He headed off in the direction of the loud thumping music.
Pushing open the door he blinked at all the disco lights blazing and the 20 or so people dancing away. He made his way to Raph the lighthouse keeper who was having a good time until he needed to switch off the light of the lighthouse.
"Raph I need some help, my girlfriend and baby have been captured," he said as he handed over the note.
"I’d love to help, but I’m afraid I can’t it’s my duty to look after the lighthouse," replied Raph making up the best excuse he could. Twinsen asked a few more people who all said no, before deciding that it was pointless and that he was just wasting valuable time. He made up his mind that he had no time to collect anything else and that he would just have to go with the Laser Pistol, alone.
