Forces of the Empire Game History

Evan was born on Solamnia. Orphaned at a very young age he was educated by the State in a Jedi Enclave. Evan's skills with the Force were erratic and never strong, and so he never became a Knight. At 16 he ventured out into civil service as the ward of a politician in the Senate, taking his benefactor's name.

By this means Evan escaped the Purge, and worked with the Senator covertly to aid the rebellion with an underground railroad for spies and defectors until the Senate was disbanded. When the Imperial Security Bureau began to be suspicious, the Senator and Evan departed by their own railroad to the rebels in hiding. With a desperate need for pilots, Evan trained in the simulators but never became more than fair and never flew a combat mission. He served in communications and tactical, supply and other jobs necessary to keep the growing organization in order.

The old Senator died during the evacuation of Hoth, and Evan stepped into his place, even though there was no longer a Senate. With the destruction of the Death Star over Endor, Evan returned to Solamnia to see whether the world was inclined to join the planets defecting to the Alliance' banner. It was and he smoothed the transition as first liason, then elected Senator, to the Alliance Senate this time.

Ordinance, Supply and Support (OSAS)

The division of ordinance, supply and support basically keeps the alliance running. This division is responsible for obtaining all supplies including: food, clothing, weapons, medicine and medical equipment, ship parts and various equipment and computers used by the alliance. They also have a hand in the research and development of shi and weaponry.

The division includes transportation, mechanics, cooks and clerical. They are also responsible for the delivery of supplies and equipment.

Technical Services: This department handles engineering, building, surveying communications and computer specialists. Any thing of a technical nature falls under the umbrella of this department.

Medical Corp: Medical services provides doctors, nurses, lab techs, med assistant techs , felled medics and medical droids for bases and medical ships. Good physical and mental care is provided to the alliance by very skilled medics.

Dragonlance Game History

Evan Silverhelm appeared in only one game, set in the Dragonlance world and run by Jason Huber. I wanted to play someone like the Dragonlance knight who would not accept the hand of evil, even to save his own life. So thats what Evan was. I remember us attacking the castle of Lord Soth and the elven banshee women. The rest of the group consider Evan a stick in the mud, and several of them were blatantly chaotic, and questionable on the good/evil thing.

There was a mage who liked to use Summon Steed to call an elephant. I recall the Elephant's trample attack did Soth no good whatsoever. Dont remember much other details except that it was chaotic, a free for all fight rather than any sort of group tactics. We won of course.

FoE (Forces of the Empire) is a Star Wars role-playing group set in the ROTJ era more or less. The Emperor survived the Death Star II as did Vader who lapsed back to the Dark Side. The Alliance now controls a swathe of territory and the galactic civil war continues.

The club was begun way way back before the pre-quels and the two Sith rule but otherwise has incorporated much of these additional movies.

Dragonlance is a series of Fantasy novels by Margaret Weiss & Tracy Hickman. My favorite character is Raistlin, of course. The original trilogy of it reads like a Tabletop game that extended over a year or two and Im told that that is how the books began. If true I think that's great.
