Game History CRG Version: Melody grew up on Selonda raised by strict elderly grandparents on their vineyard estate. Her parents died in a speeder accident when she was 4 and she barely remembers them, but carries their wedding picture and rings as her only link to them. A good if energetic child, she was kept hidden from the Jedi Order lest she be taken away, and sent to excellent boarding schools where her natural curiousity of anything and everything lead her to learn useful skills such as lockpicking, in order to get into the Dean's files, the Library after hours, all sorts of interesting places. She found she was a natural with anything mechanical, engines and electronics alike and during her summers explored those interests in full whennot attending Court or sent to play with the children of other nobles, her favorite being that of the Prince of Auruson. Home trained, most of her early Force training began during her summers with them. The Prince and Princess felt she needed saving from an overprotective upbringing, and she really liked their company. Their mother Cassandra was a granddaughter of the Grand Duke of Selonda's father making her a princess of Selonda, as is her mother. The Mathem-Steele family appeared at Selonda Court functions annually, affairs which Melody had long been attending with her grandparents, but they not had real opportunity to get to know each other then. Melody's grandparents approved of her forming a closer tie now, and let her stay with them now and then. At age 14 she found herself with unusual psionic talents, and quietly developed them once she got over her initial sickness. On a trip to Auruson to visit the Prince's family she was kidnapped by the GLF, but managed to escapr during a rescue attempt led by mercenaries sent by her grandfather. Afterwards she returned to Selonda to be with her grandmother before the stubborn lady passed away, then was shot down in a shuttle returning to Auruson. She survived the crash that followed. Both pilots were killed by the crash if not before, and Melody began to take charge of the remaining living to organize a defense. It wasn't long however before the terrorists arrived to examine the crash site. Two were captured and locked in the hold until rescue arrived. Melody graduated from the private school to college early, and chose Auruson for its nearness to home and its quality curriculum. Despite her love of engineering, she chose to focus on business and management instead. Melody was in the college library studying one afternoon when Rhys saw her there. Mutually interested in each other but unable to stay long on Auruson, Rhys and she married at her home after he met her grandfather on Selonda. The two stayed briefly with her grandfather before parting. Melody returned to her studies, graduated, and began taking over day to day operations of the family estates. With the regime change Melody travelled to Coruscant to pledge the family's loyalty and spend as much time as possible with her husband. Rhys was the heir to his own family's estates on Barzil and returned to his Sith duties on Coruscant.

World Notes:
FoE (Forces of the Empire) is a Star Wars role-playing group set in the ROTJ era more or less. The Emperor survived the Death Star II as did Vader who lapsed back to the Dark Side. The Alliance now controls a swathe of territory and the galactic civil war continues.
The club was begun way way back before the pre-quels and the two Sith rule but otherwise has incorporated much of these additional movies.
Melody was married May 1, 1999, in log #103. Which I have lost and only have corrupted unreadable files of.
Annattar: How political is grandfather?
Daisemiin: In Zeilar politics, I think he has to be very active. In the overall scheme of thiings, well, hes fairly neutral.
Annattar: Local Zeilar rebs might think he was a worthwhile target. Get her by mistake?
Daisemiin: Could be. Zeilar rebels are more active? Or were?
Annattar: We can always have a short outbrust. Upperclass proimperial and in control. Haven't thouight about what Urban middle and lower classes think of Empire. Rural lower proably can't image a revolt against anything bigger than there landlord.
Daisemiin: Very true.
The University of Zoron is organised that way. There are about Forty colleges, some date back the Unveristy's founding several 1000 years ago. A student belongs to a college and lives at its building complex. Likely family tradition favored a paticular college choice. Taras's kids are about to be old enough to attend. They'll go to regents college which is the newest. Their Grandfather founded it.
They tend to be amoral, and honorable, but not sadistic. They do what they have to do but they never use overkill.
Annattar: several. Bernie and thought about sending them to visit sandy's Uncle Holbrick on Zeilar. That would put them in the next system.
Annattar: We are at Steele Manor which is the private home. The Zorai Palace in the Citadel in the nearby city of Zorapolis is the Palace. Steele Manor is in the suburb of West Zorapolis. Taras ans Cassandra have three other homes I've created and others I havn't. They have an aprtment in Zorapolis. And two homes on Coruscant. Zoron House which is a large palace in sight of the Imperial Palace, And an apartment in the palace. Zoron is of course much smaller than the Place. I think I'll give the Steeles a small manor and a townhouse on Zeilar. Sandy's mother's brother is the Grand Duke of Zeilar. She put the breeding fram on Zeilar so it would be out of the way, but close to Zoron. Sandy was breeding yasamiri. Zeilar is an ag world. It mostly produces grain to feed Zoron and Dalath. Dalath is a heavy industry world in Zoron's system. Zeilar is close by.
Daisemiin: Didnt some of them have habitable moons?
Annattar: Not realy. Dalath and Zoron each have one moon, simalar to Earth's. Ther're both used mostly as comercial Starports The same for the third habitable planet in the system, Agralon. Ariset, thats Zoron's star has eleven planets. Three habitable. Xixa is a gas giant whose moons house an Imperial Navy Yard. Theres also a large civil yard on the moons of Kalor and a major Naval base on the moons of Jaldor. The sector's big banks are on Zoron. Torion is mostly in the high tech civialian bussiness. Taras was born on Torion and his family there owns the Steelas Microtechnologies. They produce control systems and micro repair droids. actualy most of the family on Torion think Taras, or more correctly Sir Torin Steelas is missing or Dead. Only his father' brother Sir Lon Steelas knows that he and his sister are still alive. A certain amout of care has been taken. There is however a rumour going around that the Imperial Resident, Lady Talasa Steele is realt Tarna Steelas. This rumor is of course True. So the seceert is leeking out. The local rebels are in denial about this because Taras' father was their leader untill he was killed by the then Imperial governer five years before ANH The Local rebels keep hopeing Torin Steelas will return to lead to victory. Taras' father-in-law used the stromtroopers involved in the death's of his parents and two of his three siblings to tie taras to the darkside. He broke the one who killed his mother over her tombstne. The home movies are now in his Majesty's private collection. Only two people outside House Mathem know. The Emperor and Iridian, maybe Darana.
Daisemiin: Raven has 3 ships, and several homes here and there. I have several pages on servitors and maps. Raven has an apartment in the palace, a fortress-home on Coruscant and one on Purgatory. Those are the ones I use usually. And of course she spends alot of time in the Governors mansion on Messina, where she is Governor Private residence also. I dont think Raven owns any businesses or factories, but is a shareholder in some.
I think the GLF's plan is to kidnap her and brainwash her. The money and influence she will grow into would be handy. Plus bases they can use. Telepathy woud be handy to know how close they might be to being discovered or secrets to blackmail with. Teri's religious version hate everything that looks like the Force. They'd know less about her telepathy but would be willing to use it. The GLF's leader on Zeilar could be someone who lived near her grandparents's vinyard or has some kind of grudge against them. Or some connection to the convent school she went to. They tend to be religous. Mother Dionne preahs that all force users are demons. See's no diference between Sith and Jedi
The star Ariset has 11 planets. They are from inner to outer:

She also met the children of Lord Taras Steele again. They felt she needed saving fro an overprotective upbringing, and she really liked their company. Their mother Cassandra was a granddaughter of the Grand Duke's father making her a princess of Zeilar, as is her mother. On a trip to Zoron to visit the Steeles she was kidnapped by the GLF, but was rescued (by Taras?). Afterwards she returned to Zeilar to be with her grandmother before the stubborn lady passed away, then was shot down in a shuttle returning to Zoron. She survived the crash that followed. Both pilots were killed by the crash if not before, and Melody began to take charge of the remaining living to organize a defense. Melody graduated from the private school to college early, and chose Zoron for its nearness to home and its quality curriculum. Despite her love of engineering, she chose to focus on business and management instead. Zoron University was created to mold and develop future leaders and she knew that with her future inheritance and rank, that was what she needed.
Melody was in the college library studying one afternoon when Rhys saw her there. The two hit it off and saw each other frequently. Eventually Mel forced him to ackowledge that yes he had feelings for her and they eloped after he met her grandfather, with her friends from the Mathem-Steele family attending.
The two left Zoron visiting her grandfather for a time on Zeilar, then traveling and eventually returning to the college life and Zoropolis.
Rhys was killed a few months later in a traffic accident and Melody returned to school again after the funeral on Zeilar. Rhys was the heir to his own family's estates on _____ and Melody inherited them on his death.
-- Character played in the Star Wars roleplay group, Cantina Roleplayers Guild .
Mayday is a creation of Phaedra Whitlock. Rhys Harper is the creation of Dawn Bromley, while Jim Devlin is the creation of Twist, of Champions MUSH.
Daisemiin (8:06:20 PM): Rhys appeared at Court one day, pledged his loyalty and has been more or less loyal. Hes definately dark, but has no interest in military stuff or hard work unless motivated. He would have joined
Darana after the coup as soon as he determined that she actually was in charge.
darana02 (8:07:16 PM): so he's got a small system he is running with his wife in the empire?
Daisemiin (8:08:15 PM): She runs it. In the Empire yes. He has his own family estates elsewhere. He was missing as a child and upon returning from the dead as a Sith, he contacted his family to renegtiate his place in the family.
Daisemiin (8:08:31 PM): Both are in the Empire. Hers is much closer to the center
darana02 (8:11:19 PM): nods
Daisemiin (8:11:36 PM): Melody is competent administrator, causes no trouble. Bows to whoever sits on the throne and doesnt get into politics if she can help it.
darana02 (8:15:17 PM): nods K.
