Predator and Prey

The Gray Wolf's Diet and Hunting Capability

The Gray Wolf is an expert when it comes to hunting. With strong legs, large feet for grip and support, and a raging appetite, the Gray Wolf makes his attack quickly, by chasing down it's prey, "tripping" it, and delivering it's fatal bite to the neck. The Gray Wolf's main diet consists of Caribou, deer, antelope, and other large mammals. They also feed on smaller and weaker prey such as small foxes, rabbits, and sometimes a squirrel. Sometimes, by accident, a Gray Wolf will unknowingly kill livestock, and the cattle owner will usually solve the "problem" by killing the Gray (see Human Interaction). Although many of our world's animals are rapidly disappearing, the Gray Wolf probably won't have to worry about going hungry.
