Beginning February 11, 2000 Categories A,B, and C will be involved in a coloring contest. The pages to be colored will be available at The Outer Limits and White Cap Comics. Category A (ages 3 to 6) will be coloring an original Jiggly Puff drawing by Jasmine Collins. Categories B (ages 7 to 12) and C(ages 13 to 17) will be coloring an original character drawn by Jasmine Collins.
A contestant may not submit the coloring work of someone else. You must do your own coloring. A parent or other individual is not allowed to fill in the background for a contestant; or, in any other way alter the work of the contestant.
You may use crayons, colored pencils, pens, markers, or any other medium that you choose. The coloring contest will end April 18, 2000. Do not sign your work. Your work will be logged in at the stores and a judging number will be assigned.
All rights for the artwork remain with Jasmine. She has given us permission to use her artwork. The submissions for this contest may be put on display in the stores and can be returned to you after this time has expired, but you may not submit this colored artwork for publication without permission in writing from Jasmine Collins.
Thought the medium used in coloring is entirely up to you, the size of your submission is not. for instance, if your medium is water colors, you may choose to copy the art onto a harder paper or mount it on cardboard. This is acceptable; however, it is not acceptable to blow up or increase the size of the art. It is also necessary that you crop the mounting surface down to the 8 1/2 by 11 inch format.
Do not frame or encase your artwork in a shiny or reflective material. The thickness of your finished entry must be less than 1/16th of an inch.
