This screen saver has been set up, and is supplied, solely by me. The images are screen grabs from the game and therefore are the property of GT Interactive Software. The screen saver is not part of the game, nor is it included with an special add-on pack or theme.
It is here entirely for your enjoyment and can be copied freely, providing no financial benefit is gained. The utility to display the images is the FREE program JPGSaver (an excellent utility to have).
Pack #1: Contains 16 images plus the JPGSaver program. (309K)
Pack #2: Contains 10 extra images. (91K)
Installation
To set up the Oddworld Help Site Screen Saver:
First create a folder to store the files, called "ABE-PICS" in the C: drive. (Actually you can put the files anywhere. This is just the suggestion we are making.) To make a folder in the C: drive, double click My Computer, then double click the C: drive icon. Right click anywhere in the 'white space' (not on an icon) and choose New... Folder. Type the name "ABE-PICS" and press Enter.
Now, click this ZIP file : ABE-PICS.ZIP (309K) and when asked to Open or Save, select Save and store it in the "ABE-PICS" folder you just made. If you dont have WinZip already installed, a must for any computer and internet user, then get it here.
Once the file has downloaded, unzip the file into the current folder. (For full help on ZIPping see the WinZIP site for more details).
Next, move the JPGSAVER.SCR file into your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. (To move, cut the file from its original folder and paste into the destination folder).
Now all you need to do is configure the screen saver to use the Abe images, and set up how you want them dispayed. One suggestion is below, but you can customise it to your liking.
To set up the properties for the screen saver, right click the desktop, choose Properties, then click the Screen Saver tab. (You can also double-click the Display icon in Control Panel). Choose the Jpgsaver from the list then click on the Settings... button and then set up the options as in the above image. If you have done this correctly the Preview box will display the Abe images.
