| The Moves |
- They drool, look mean, ferocious, and always very very hungry.
- These are the pets of the slig guards, but don't always expect them to be following a slig around. They live in their kennels and are always ready to attack.
- They run very fast and Abe will be on his toes to stay out of their reach.
- They have a real obsession with Abe's leg bone.
- Due to their size they can chase you through any small tunnels.
- They are also brilliant jumpers, especially when Abe is dangling above them.
- They are not very agile and skid quite a lot when changing direction. They will often run into mines and meat grinders (if coerced, of course).

| Communication |
- They yap all day long. They really are noisey buggers.
- They bark and growl and bite at anything.
- They do not really talk or utter a sound as a repsonse to any speach from you or the sligs. But talking isn't what they are needed for.

| Surviving |
- Run.
- Jump.
- Basically, just get the hell out of there. Don't try to hide from them - they can smell you a mile off.
- You cannot get rid of them once they find you, so you need to keep out of their way or know how to destory them. The best way is to run them into a bomb or grinder.
- Don't walk into a den of them. If you see the kennel(s) - try to avoid it.
- Do not hang anywhere or else you will lose your legs (and have you ever tried finishing the game on stumps?).

| Tips and Tricks |
- The best way to avoid these guys is to always look out for them.
- If they are sleeping - creep. If they are charging - run.
- Destroy them wherever possible. Mines, bombs and machinery work well. But the best and most enjoyable part of the game is possessing the slig and using the machine gun (that looks a lot like a shot gun) to pump them full of lead.
