Advancement in QVI (What to do to gain rank)

Advancement comes through in character and out of character activities (though IC activities will certainly be the most important determining factor). Things to do IC that will enhance your chances of gaining rank. 1.  Be seen.  The more other players have a chance to see your character in action the more opportunities you will have to be given tasks (read Tests) to show your loyalty and usefullness to Llolth and the House.  2. Try to please your supieriors.  Don't annoy--bring unwanted attention upon your character--any character above you in station.  In addition, shallow complements, gifts and other signs of understanding your place in the order of things will greatly enhance your chances.  Obey unquestioningly the orders of those above you in station. Things to do OOC that will enhance your chances of gaining rank. 1.  Follow the rules.  Maintain the IC/OOC split, don't annoy your leaders with any whining, and be respectful of other players and it will be in turn assumed that you can handle more responcibility.  Having an IC rank, requires some OOC maturity, responcibility and consistency. 2. Show some enthusiasm for the guild.  It really doesn't make sence to have people get to the highest ranks IC but are not willing to add new ideas, lead events, or otherwise be an asset to the guild.  There is no minimum attendance requirement, but some effort should be made to maintain the rank.
