Yathtaller, High Priestess Duties: The Yathtaller's main duty is to make sure the Will of Llolth has been properly discerned and maintained. Therefore, her main duty will be cerimonial. She will be required to lead prayers, bless new nobles, maintain the lore and history of the race. She is aloof from House politics (outside of the noble House system, in essence a House unto herself). Privileges: As the most powerful and respected drow in the guild, her word alone is law. She even has nominal authority over House Matrons, but usually does not interfer any secular matters. Assention: Any priestess who has served her house for an extended period of time may challenge the current Yathtaller. On an appointed evening, the two will face off in a contest demonstrating their knowledge and power before a crowd. Each will complete a seperate cermony, the challenger first, to to be judged subjectively by all guild members in attendence.
